  • This is among the best games of all time. This is something which can more then likely never be topped as far as its greatness goes. It is by far greater then anything that has been produced after it and greater then the vast majority of games produced since. The greatest game of all time.

  • One of my childhood games that i will always remember... a bit tricky on the keyboard but less tricky on a 2 axis and 8 button joystick but haveing a bit of tricky controls can make the game a little more fun as you accidentally make false moves

  • This game was so freakin' awesome. The graphics were sketchy to what we are used to now, but was cutting edge at the time. This game deserves to be placed with many other great games, if not above them. I even got my screen name from it :) The plot is very well developed, the fighting can be entertaining, and you will be captivated for hours until you beat the game. Of Course, beating the game is only half of the fun. There are so many things to do, such as finding all of the pieces of heart, the gerudo horseback archery, and the mask trading system make the fun last for even longer. Also, if you play this game on Project 64, there are so many fun cheats, such as levitation, fire-starting swords, and even cloning! on emulator or console, this game is a masterpiece.

    this means the dungeons are more complex and difficult, so if you notice a difference, no its not a bug

  • I have this game on n64 AND i have it for gamecube with masterquest, and i still want it on my computer xD this game is AMAZING+EPIC and fire temple took me less than 15 minutes on master quest for some reason but like over an hour on regular OoT o.o;; more challeging? xD

  • Yep its 2009 and i still say this is one of the best games ever brought to life even twilight princess didnt match up to it but twilight princess was tight the only thing was the last boss battl;e wasnt as epid as the one orcarina of time has i mean this game ending makes it worth beating and not only that everything else about the game makes everything worth it flawwless is correct they should make a new verison of this like upsated with better graphics and everything only game that matched up to this game of this time was a game on playstation one and it was a game called final fantasy 7 these 2 games will be rememberd enspcially by me cause im bout to down load em today lol

    i wish they would remake it for DS or DSi.....not for the Wii though. I hate the Wii, its the worst nintendo console ever (in my opinion)

  • I have rated many games in the past but this game is beyond any rating. If it has to be rated, it doesn't deserve a rating any less than 10/10. I already call this game "THE GAME OF THE CENTURY" and for days to come. This game is truly legendary in gamplay, look and feel. NO OTHER GAME CAN BE THE SAME!!! This was an epic masterpiece that cannot be duplicated, remade or described otherwise. And I personally don't wish a remake of Ocarina of Time. It's as great as it is. This game has crossed the veil of that golden zone, where once you cross it, you become an icon that could only shine on forever and serve as a yardstick for games to come.

    The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is truly my favorite game and I wish to remember my adventures with Link, Navi and our other little friends around Hyrule forever. (I know reincarnation does not exists, but if I'm ever born again, I wish to remember nothing but this game and its legend for eternity!)

    My second favorite game is Final Fantasy VII but my second favorite Zelda game is The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Although Twilight Princess tried to imitate the Ocarina's legendary feel in many ways, it came close but failed to be like it. Nothing can beat it.

    I still play this as it never gets old to me, and I will keep on playing it. It always gives me that nostalgic feel of my childhood. Thank you and way to go Nintendo for this legendary masterpiece. And of course, Thank you Romulation!

    (I wonder how most of the games released around 1996 - 2000 always turn out to be the best of all times!)

  • @Vega1337- I wish i could hit you -.- FF7 is totally overhyped, while it is an admittedly good game, its popularity only comes from obsessed fanboys/girls. compared to the Zelda games, which are popular because they are in fact masterpieces of games, and not overhyped rpgs which did nothing more than raise the standard of graphic quality (even though for its time, this game pretty much did that too, sorry)

  • Albeit with varying degrees of English language proficiency, previous posters have stated how good this game is. I'd like to comment on how good the rom download is.

    The compact, 57mb download packs a serious punch - multiple versions of the game, in an assortment of different languages. I have been playing the GC version on a low-powered Acer Aspire 5100 Laptop and it runs perfectly...I think - I never had N64, for all the obvious reasons. Regardless, I'm grateful Romulation provides the opportunity to finally play this for the first time; despite the ancient graphics, this game is every bit as fun - if not more so - than anything out there today. As I said, I'm not going to beat the "best game ever" horse, but I will say thanks again for the chance to play this overlooked treasure.

    TL/DR: Thanks for the terrific download - PLAY THIS GAME.

  • A cool trick to earn money as young Link(before you get 100 golden skulltulas kills):
    Go to the entrance to the market outside(in Hyrule field), on both sides of the bridge there are iron chains, go up on one of them, and at the top, jump towards the other one(if you are on the right one, go up and jump left, if you are on the left one, go up and jump right), try holding up to prevent damage, or get in the marker before impact. You will get 2 red rupees(2x20 green ones) from the first side, if you haven't got into the market, go to the other side and do it again, you will get another red rupee, go in the market and out, and repeat, you can get 99 rupees(or more, if you have a bigger wallet) in no time.

PERFECT!!! I'll go to Tales of the Abyss as my 2nd most favorite game ever because of its storyline which is in the same level of this game.... PERFECT!!!

    i need some help of this game. I had just beat this game but I CANT WATCH THE ENDING VIDEO!! (i mean the credits part.. i'm sure that they had an ending clips along with the credits rolling..)
    The game crash every time when princess zelda say goodbye to link (after she play the ocarina to send link back to his time)

  • This game is one of the best games in history. The story, gameplay, everyhting about this game is legend. I love every game of the zelda but this one is by far the best. I wish they would remake this exact copy of the game with current graphics, that would so good but other then that, the original is excelent.
