This game was so freakin' awesome. The graphics were sketchy to what we are used to now, but was cutting edge at the time. This game deserves to be placed with many other great games, if not above them. I even got my screen name from it :) The plot is very well developed, the fighting can be entertaining, and you will be captivated for hours until you beat the game. Of Course, beating the game is only half of the fun. There are so many things to do, such as finding all of the pieces of heart, the gerudo horseback archery, and the mask trading system make the fun last for even longer. Also, if you play this game on Project 64, there are so many fun cheats, such as levitation, fire-starting swords, and even cloning! on emulator or console, this game is a masterpiece.

I have this game on n64 AND i have it for gamecube with masterquest, and i still want it on my computer xD this game is AMAZING+EPIC and fire temple took me less than 15 minutes on master quest for some reason but like over an hour on regular OoT o.o;; more challeging? xD

Yep its 2009 and i still say this is one of the best games ever brought to life even twilight princess didnt match up to it but twilight princess was tight the only thing was the last boss battl;e wasnt as epid as the one orcarina of time has i mean this game ending makes it worth beating and not only that everything else about the game makes everything worth it flawwless is correct they should make a new verison of this like upsated with better graphics and everything only game that matched up to this game of this time was a game on playstation one and it was a game called final fantasy 7 these 2 games will be rememberd enspcially by me cause im bout to down load em today lol

The best N64 game ever and best Zelda game ever...i had it on the 64 when i was a kid and fell in love with it and now there are N64 emulators and roms

i wish they would remake it for DS or DSi.....not for the Wii though. I hate the Wii, its the worst nintendo console ever (in my opinion)

I have rated many games in the past but this game is beyond any rating. If it has to be rated, it doesn't deserve a rating any less than 10/10. I already call this game "THE GAME OF THE CENTURY" and for days to come. This game is truly legendary in gamplay, look and feel. NO OTHER GAME CAN BE THE SAME!!! This was an epic masterpiece that cannot be duplicated, remade or described otherwise. And I personally don't wish a remake of Ocarina of Time. It's as great as it is. This game has crossed the veil of that golden zone, where once you cross it, you become an icon that could only shine on forever and serve as a yardstick for games to come.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is truly my favorite game and I wish to remember my adventures with Link, Navi and our other little friends around Hyrule forever. (I know reincarnation does not exists, but if I'm ever born again, I wish to remember nothing but this game and its legend for eternity!)

My second favorite game is Final Fantasy VII but my second favorite Zelda game is The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Although Twilight Princess tried to imitate the Ocarina's legendary feel in many ways, it came close but failed to be like it. Nothing can beat it.

I still play this as it never gets old to me, and I will keep on playing it. It always gives me that nostalgic feel of my childhood. Thank you and way to go Nintendo for this legendary masterpiece. And of course, Thank you Romulation!

(I wonder how most of the games released around 1996 - 2000 always turn out to be the best of all times!)

Albeit with varying degrees of English language proficiency, previous posters have stated how good this game is. I'd like to comment on how good the rom download is.

The compact, 57mb download packs a serious punch - multiple versions of the game, in an assortment of different languages. I have been playing the GC version on a low-powered Acer Aspire 5100 Laptop and it runs perfectly...I think - I never had N64, for all the obvious reasons. Regardless, I'm grateful Romulation provides the opportunity to finally play this for the first time; despite the ancient graphics, this game is every bit as fun - if not more so - than anything out there today. As I said, I'm not going to beat the "best game ever" horse, but I will say thanks again for the chance to play this overlooked treasure.

TL/DR: Thanks for the terrific download - PLAY THIS GAME.

Classic.
These is the kind of essence that games these days are missing.
Today, games are mostly concentrated on graphics.
The same feeling of playing classic games like this is gone.
