  • What's great about this version of the game is the fact that it comes with the ability to change the colour of all blood in the game, and turn it down, to help gamers who couldn't handle as much gore as other gamers, or for those who haven't played Resi before, or just this one, such as not knowing what to expect.

Overall I'd give Resi 2 an 8/10 and this version 9/10.

  • Has major crash related problems with all current emulators. wont play

  • Omg just get A R4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You know d bag i actually have an r4 you know too bad thats not a plausable solution to this particular problem......idiot. tell you what if you can get this game to work using an r4 theres a 100 bucks in it for you

  • It didnt work for me i play on pj64 emulator, can someone explain me why i just lose 100points and an hour of my life?

  • Don't let the above comments change your mind if you think this game sounds fun

there have been almost 2000 downloads and there are five complaints........thats still a pretty good ratio of it working

  • The complaints are right though, lots of computers can't play this game on any emulator. I can't remember what you need though, it may be OpenGL graphics.

  • I used project64 and it worked for me, but it had a few graphical glitches and bugs.

  • For some reason, I can't get this game to work properly... I seriously doubt that the problem lies in the rom, especially considering that so many other people are enjoying it without a hitch. I'm using Mupen64 and Mupen64Plus on an intel-based Mac running OS X Leopard 10.5.6. Any tips?

  • RE2 is great game lol

    LOL

  • Yay ima DL it again

  • Very good game, ok graphics

  • I love this game!!

  • The game crashes alot on project 64.....so you might as well just get a PS1 emulator...but it is a pain in the ass to set up. but other than that. just got get a copy of RE4. it is way better

  • Too bad it doesn't work as it should... But i'm happy! I didn't pay for this! So no complaints :D Thanks for the upload dude! :D

  • Well..it does work well on P64 if you do a custom modification of the emulator. I can run it pretty well with Project 64 and custom builds except the sound may still be buggie...pretty amazing though, to squish a 2 disk PS1 game onto a small N64 cartrige...(just go download the PS1 version...it's just as good)

It has a different feel from RE4...I've played every game of the series and I find RE2 to stick with the orginal style the most....RE 4 is great but it has turned into somewhat of a first person shooter, missing the complicated puzzles that identified Resident Evil originally..but hey..look at RE 5...(>\_>)

  • You will need Glide64 video plugin with wrappers (dunno what that is) and it was recommended to get Napalm version of it. The game's still playable w/out them, but pre-rendered CG cutscenes will either be black or garbled with very poor sound and game-rendered cutscenes run a risk of locking up. So be sure to save state at the start and save in another file until it finishes. If anything, you can see all those cutscenes on Youtube. :D

No clue if it fixes the 3D items from displaying ontop of the prerendered graphics, I actually did powerthrough to the garbled ending.

  • I played this game on Project 64 with standard plugins and and it worked fine except for there was no dialogs in CG animations. I even noticed that I completed the game without unlocking a door at the final level. Weird!

  • love this game it works fine with a tiny graphic problem not bad

  • i say that deathly silence is WWWAAAAYYY better by far

  • Best version! saturn version comes second.

  • eh.. the game keeps making weird crash sounds whenever someone is talking, any help?
    using P64
