  Very fun game if you love turn based stratagy games. the story is a little happy go lucky but it is a great game nontheless.
  if you like this game than you will love the sequal Advance Wars: Days of Ruin which takes the story in a new direction with new characters and a darker era.

  This is the reason I bought my DS to begin with. I went in to buy a normal Advance... but they had this on display. Walked out with a DS. Best investment ever! The Advance Wars series is easily part of my top 10 games ever!

  I really enjoyed both the Advance Wars series on the GBA and this 1st installment for the DS is among the best (if not the the BEST...!!!) game available for the DS... The main campaign might not last that long but it's the other modes that accompany is what makes this title a gem... Beats 'Days of Ruin' flat in terms of unlockables...
  
  P.S. Try getting all the CO's alternative costumes as some of them really rock...!!!

  Well actually Alan94 i dont think Advance wars: days of ruin is the "sequel". theres just too many things different. Dual strike and the predecessors graphics are more cartoony (i think) then Days of Ruin which seems more anime like. come on even the units look different. and there are 2 new infantry type units (i think totally useless)

  Really nice game if you like strategy games. In my opinion though, I think Age of Empires is better. Very unique play style.

  This was probably one of the best DS games I've played so far! This game is basically a turn based strategy game like Fire Emblem except you control soldiers, tanks, bombers, and etc. The graphics suit this game perfectly along with the great sound effects and background music. Besides that, plenty of new units have been added along with several other commanders, the ability to control two CO's at once, use CO's super powers, and even level up your commanders giving them special abilities that increase unit's attack, defense, and even grant bonus damage. The difficulty level of this game is just right proving not to be too hard but not too easy either! Overall, whether your a fan of the GBA Advanced Wars Series or a first-timer, this game will surely surpass your expectations!
