    Try a different emulator;

    I think DeSmuMe might work.

    I use it in Ubuntu (Linux), and it works with a lot of ROMs.



    Or you could get a Slot-1 device, such as the R4DS or M3 Simply, if you have a DS.

  • It's my personal opinion that this game is by far the best portable pin-ball game ever!

    The tables are challenging and with Samus, able to roll into a ball the Metroid theme fits nicely into the pinball mechanics. I like it, and loved it so much I had to go buy it. Although the force feedback cartridge is not the most epic piece of hardware, it's still a must-have for this game. The boss fight are really hard and can get frustrating at times, but skill CAN overcome bad luck, I'm just not that skilled :)

  • This game is really fun but it's kinda short. There are only 6 tables; 3 of which are for boss fights, so they just have a pretty much empty space at the top for the boss to stand and walk around and attack. I also wish the power-ups were upgradeable like you can only hold 4 missiles at a time. But i do like the combat mode challenge, in which samus gets out of the ball and shoots enemies with her cannon and 4 missiles, and the reward scanner which can be very helpful or very cheap depending how you use it: I use it to get a bunch of extra balls. The replay value is that after you beat a level, you can play it on a harder difficulty and it can be challenging or just annoying depending on how you look at it. oh and a tip that i didn't find out until recently: flick the touch screen to tilt. i kept dying cuz i didn't know how to tilt

  • Excellent pinball sim. I say 'sim' because it fits the bill. It's not just another cheesy stab at pinball. I'm not sure WHY more developers over the years have not created better pinball sims, I guess it's because people don't see pinball that much anymore.

    Hopefully, one day, the folks that did the 'Pro Pinball' machines for the pc will bring those to the DS as well. Those games are over ten years old at this point, and have yet to be topped in graphics/gameplay. Do a youtube search on Pro Pinball to see what we're missing on the DS.
