  • Not as great as past 2d mario games. This game strives for simplicities in graphics and gameplay. It tries too hard, imo, to be like the original mario bros. game.

    But I beat it in two days. I prefer the older Gameboy versions more, but this better be in your collection if you have a DS.

  • Great variety of minigames and multiplayer options but the adventure mode is way too easy and has pretty much no replay value, cause the star coins seriously don't do much

  • Weird, wouldn't work on R4DS v1.18 (I say "weird" as it's such an old game, came out in US almost 3 years ago.) I get repeated "corrupt save file" errors and letting it delete the saves just loops me back to the errors. Oh well, guess my daughter'll have to play Monster Jam Urban Assault instead. :P

  • I was going to try this game before I pay 40$ for it but it runs very slowly on all the emulators i tried making it unplayable. Maybe I am using the wrong emulators.

  • Hey, does this rom have the save fix for when you put it in the r4; cause it always sucks to hear that everytime i start it, it would say that it's corrupted and i have to delete it (and it keeps happening again and again)

  • Do the mini-games work on this version? I downloaded a different copy of the US 0434 New Super Mario Bros. and it worked fine, but when I clicked on mini-games, it just froze. So do they work on this version?

  • I think that this game does wonders for the Super Mario community. Beautiful graphics, gameplay and mini games, this game is a definite must for any Mario fan!

    Mario games are so fun, kid friendly...etc

    But its kinda boring specially when u cant complete a level & If u had already finished it.

    But I like it's minigames specially when u play with your friends using Wi-fi connection.

    But I like Mario Kart DS better its not that boring:

    Missions, Grand Prixes, Time Trials, Unlockable Characters, Cars & Nitro & Retro Courses.

    It's more fun if you go race with your friends with Wi-fi connection.

  • I have this but im still going to download it to my r4 its kinda funny and ya the past mario games where kinda better.

  • It is not as good as previous Mario games but it has some good features.

    The gameboy versions were much better.

    1. Extract the game with WinRar
    2. Copy the Nds file to the game folder of your flashcart, or emulator
    whatsoever.

  • A fresh remake of the good ol classic super mario! Simply delightful and entertaining, 9/10 with excellent graphics, music and gameplay. Very fun to have new enemies with a tune for music:) The way the jump when the music is atuned..must have for every NDS player. One of my personal favourites by far

    This game might not be working for you, but i found something that helps.
    This is a third-party R4 menu that i found. It allows you to play New Super Mario Bros. and Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story. I've been using this menu for over 2 weeks and nothing wrong has gone with it for me. All i can help you with is that it allows you to play these two games and maybe any other games you've had problems with. It also has new and improved cheats for you use. I will not be responsible for any other problems you might have.

  • This game is great, but for me the minigames dont work

  • There's a bug with the minigames in this... (WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!) I don't want to support another rom website, but download from rom-freaks.net worked perfectly. Please have the fix :)

  • found a fix if your game freezes when entering "Minigames" menu/mode/whatever. When the rom is loading (it says "Loading" :) ) PRESS AND HOLD THE "A" BUTTON! it fixed my problem of freezing.

    It works for every other game (Castlevania Portrait of Ruin ,never froze again. Kingdom Hearts 358 2 Days works like a charm).

  • It's a pretty good game, you feel transported to the nes

  • Wii version: sounds cool i like using cheat codes on this game(bad grammar/english on purpose) this 1: my fav part:mario VS. luigi (they both like pie(haha Just Kidding))

  • This is the type of game to just have on your Flash cart.

    Its fun to play at some points, but certain aspects of the game make it less playable.

    Overall, its a must have for any mario fans, but unless you use emulators or have a large flash card, this game wouldnt be at the top of my list.

  • This is game is great. It retains the simplicity of the original Mario series. Game design is amazing. They have retained some music, sound tracks, and sounds (like the "click" of the fire power) and so on. So if you like Mario, this you will love. Graphics are amazing. Gameplay is even better. A must have.

  • To huanunes to get to world 4 and 7 all you have to do is beat the last boss on that leval as mi ni mario, simpal as that.
