  • A very fun and new type of game for the DS. I have tried almost all FPS for the DS and i say this is far most the best. The good- New objectives and obstacles every level. A good bundle of vehicles to drive, background images and graphics were not half bad, unlike GoldenEye.
    The Bad-There is not much gameplay into it. I would say MAX 5 hours for an average player. There is a very limited amount of inventory. You can't unlock more than three guns until
    the end of the game, but what's the point of that? Sometimes it seems as if you do not get enough instructions or as if you are doing all the work, while the rest of your team waits
    until the coast is clear. Overall i would give this game a 8.5/10.

  • Ill have to try dis out i rented a brothers in arms game for the psp but it was crap so knowing the smooth controls of the ds touch screen this sould be a lot mor fun

  • This is by far the best shooter on the DS. CoD 4 was okay if it weren't for the repetitiveness and CoD 5 was just hands down crap. This is a good take on the BIA series and I would highly reccomend it. The only problem is there is no wi-fi which would be great on this game.

  • i love this game however i think the graphics suck and you need to interact more with your squad but i think the third person action is revolutionary for ds the weapons need to be more diverse and fullauto wea[ons should not shoot in bursts and the ml grand should have a 8 round clip

  • Brothers In Arms is a successful shooter on the consoles. Now, Ubisoft has brought the series to the DS. I have to say this is one of the best shooters on the DS. Why? Let's find out. There are only three third-person shooters on the DS which I can think of: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, C.O.P. the Recruit, and Brothers In Arms DS. Brothers In Arms is the definite best of the three. This game is set in World War 2, like Call of Duty World At War also for the DS. There are three single player campaigns, one being Normandy as always, and the other two I don't remember. You aim with the touch screen, like many shooters, and shoot with the L button. There's not a lot of problems with the controls. Reloading is done by dragging a magazine to your gun icon. I really don't like this way of manually reloading. Usually I don't use the manual reload much. There are only five weapons, compared to World At War which has about three times more than that. The weapons cosist of a Thompson sub machine gun, a bazooka, a sniper rifle, a Browning Automatic rifle, and an M1 Garand which shoots rifle grenades. The Browning and M1 are unlocked after you beat the entire single player on any difficulty. Out of all the weapons, the Browning is my favorite. I also wish throwing grenades was like Call of Duty. To throw a grenade, you select the grenade icon and then drag the stylus up the touch screen. On the top screen, a marker shows where the grenade will land. Dragging the stylus up will throw the grenade further, while dragging it down will throw it at a shorter distance. This is the only DS shooter with a cover system with a cover system like games like Gears of War and Rainbow Six. It's not very similar to Rainbow Six, but it's still a cover system. This system makes this game one of the best shooters on the DS. There is also local multiplayer, but no Wi-Fi. This game would have been really cool with Wi-Fi, but it wasn't included. Local multiplayer has many maps, but they are not as detailed as World At War's multiplayer maps. Still, it is fun. Brothers In Arms DS is a great DS shooter you will enjoy. You should download this right now. 9 out of 10

    My Verdict
    -Gameplay: 8.4 out of 10 (A COVER SYSTEM???? YES!! SUCKISH DRIVING CONTROLS??? NO!!!!)
    -Presentation: 8.1 out of 10 (a little similar to Call of Duty)
    -Storyline: 8.3 (World War II. Anything else?)
    -Multiplayer: 8.7 out of 10 (no online or DS download)
    -Replayability: 8.6 out of 10 (playing it right now)
    This game gets a great score of 9 out of 10.

  • Can i PLEASE point out that evry1 saying FPS game, from the screenshots it shows it is not infactg a first person shooter, but a third person shooter. sorry to sound evil but i cant stand not correcting things...
