Please notice that this game is pretty much useless without the Guitar Hero Grip hardware you get when you buy the game. Well... that is obiusly xD... waiting for my guitar hero gruip! :D I totally agree with Seph. Well, guess i hafta buy the game... Curse you Vicarious Visions

joking :) DEFINATLY going to purchase this game :) I've heard this isn't all that good, actually. People say it's too easy. Hopefully someone will mod the game to allow the 4 mapped buttons to be playable. Are some of you people really that cheap that you wont even buy one NDS Game - even if it is just for the Guitar Grip? Seriously... you know it doesn't hurt to support game developers by buying at least one of their games. Don't get me wrong, I love ROMS just as much as everyone else here. I'm just sick of hearing people complain (more so on other boards) because they have to actually spend some of their hard earned cash on this game - forgetting that that game developers worked hard to earn your money. It ain't that hard to throw them a bone every once in awhile... with all the money you've saved, it ain't going to kill you to spend $50 on this title.

and yes, I do support ROMs and Romulation 100% DSlite: That's not really the reason it's dumped. First of all it might be hacked, but second of all you might prefer to have this on your flash cart so you don't need to carry your flash cart and this game. Seph,

I do and that is exactly why I was looking forward to this ROM being released... so I too could put it on my flash cart and not have to switch out the 2 carts when I'm ready to play something else. My comment is directed towards those who are upset because they can't play the ROM without having to either buy the game (or just the Guitar Grip) or wait until a hacked version is released. I'm not upset about the ROM being dumped at all. Yeah support the developers! ahah i just bought the game have'nt tried it yet. i just didnt want to switch out the flashcart everytime i want to play a different game. game looks good and a fw guys at bestbuy said its a good game.

i'll tell you all how it goes. I have a preorder on the game - it comes out here tomorrow. I'm not on a "power-trip". I'm just tired of hearing people whine about having to buy this game (or at least the Guitar Grip) in order to play this game. OR even saying that they will wait to see if a hacked version is released so that they don't need the guitar grip.

Like I said, I have nothing against people dumping or downloading ROMS - I fully support it! I'm just feed up with the Cheap-Os who refuse to buy even just one game if they have to in order to play it - LIKE THIS ONE.

Hopefully this will clear things up. Having gone back and reread my original post, I can see how it can be miss understood. Again, I am only referring to this particular game and the people who are whining that they can't play it. All I'm saying is that it doesn't hurt your pocket when you have to buy one DS game vs all the money you've already saved from downloading others.

Like I said earlier, I support the dumping and downloading of ROMs and Romulation 100%. I support whining and Cheap-Os 0%.

Arkyoptrix - I bought 2 (one for me and one for the wife). If you like Guitar Hero and the track list for On Tour, it is worth buying. If you don't, then the answer is no. Hey DSlite, I agree with you totally man, Romulation is doing us all a great favour and saving us all loads of money, but joshthesim justthink about it, you could download a great game from here and tell everyone else how to get it for free, but you wont see that game again because the developers won't have gotten much money back from it and therefore, will have thought there game was a failure, so next time you think of downloading a game from here, just think how you would like it if you created your own video game and it was successfull, would you like it if people were practically ripping you off and getting it for free. (No offence intended to Romulation, you're all doing a wonderfull job :P) This file freezes for me on skid row song in 4th tier in career mode, i went out bought the game then thinking i could play through it on my r4 while being able to keep my other games with me only to find out it freezes anyway so had to play through it again on the original cart. Its a great game considering it is on the ds, and makes my list of games to have on me when always on the go. Good game if you want to think your a rockstar without knowing how to play on the real deal xD.

The game has been modded, you can play it using the 4 buttons or d-pad (or both at the same time). I knew this was coming. Its a little screwy right now, but better then nothing.

I play both and granted a real guitar is a lot more fun and rewarding seeing as how there's no set list of songs you have to follow so you can play whatever you want, but the game can be fun as well to waste time and sit around drinking with friends. Can you play it if you put it on the R4 then get a grip somewhere?

You must be pretty stupid if you think making a guitar hero game requires effort, if they put in a decent scoring system and a decent keysounding system like GuitarFreaks, then maybe, but this game is nowhere near worth it's pricetag, I borrowed a grip pad from one of my mates to play it just so I can laugh at it and I have the right to compare it to it's superior elder brother. There's a cheat that makes it so you don't need the grip. Download Narin's cheat.dat from his sig, the cheat allows you to use the buttons instead! :)

Kupo! Geez... the game it self is good but if you're really desperate, there is a hacked version of the game but it's really no fun without the grip......

CONTROLS WITH HACK:

Green: Right on D-Pad
Red: Left on D-Pad
Yellow: Down on D-Pad
Blue: Up on D-Pad

You can't play Green and Red/Yellow and Blue/3 Note Chords so just buy the game... Just buy the game, another game like this is coming out, it's called Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades.
So then you have the grip and you can play both games by downloading the ROMs!
Simple. I still want to see these guitar games for Wii and DS have some more family appropriate songs.
How about some of the good songs from animated movies (Shrek soundtrack and such), I suppose Hanna Montana would be a good choice but not for me so they could make an entire game for her selections and I could steer clear... Xstatic...

I have played a trial of this game at EB games and it gave me a git of a cramp and it was just overall uncomfterbull I've bought me a GH controller grip. It'll come in useful for all future Guitar Hero releases! I purchased an Unofficial Guitar Hero Grip controller from Ebay. It's awesome and will be very handy for future Guitar Hero's. There is a ROM hack that you can do that will let you play the game using ABXY instead of that grip. Guy's... is there a way (if you have a grip and the game on ur r4) to put ur own songs in it or something? How can i play this on an emu? do i need a guitar? ampotek!
