  • I did the arm7 patch but when I try to start a game campaign or scenario the screen just goes black. Also there's no sound on the menu pages. Is there supposed to be?

  • It is a pretty good game...better than the last i would say.......but you would really think the ds has enough turn based games.....at least enough to where they dont have to mutilate one of the best real time strategy games of all time and turn it into a turn based game. the ds strategy games have somewhat disapointed me, this game ended up being turn based black and white creatures got canned and well robopocylypse just didnt do it for me. now there really isnt any hope for a good real time game. in fact this is beyond depressing for any real time strategy fan.......

  • People complaining about turn-based gameplay should keep quite. As has been proven by numerous painful DS RTS games like Lost Magic and Children of Mana, the DS is not actually suited to these games.

  • Oopman you are a moron....all the rts games that you mentioned were crab-based shovelware.......until you see them try and port command and conquer and watch it fail miserably then we can talk.....not a single real effort has been made to make real time strategy fans happy

  • Anyone else been having saving problems? Saving usually works on the DSone but sometimes after spending an hour beating a level, I come back and it turns out that data didn't get saved.And is arm7 also what I have to download for this to work on the DSTT?

  • You know why you guys are getting disappointed all the time? you expect too much out of a portable. you spend so much of your time that you complaining, you're bound to get annoyed. i think Command & Destroy did pretty much most of it right. the controls and the mechanics of the game were solid enough to be fun when i feel the need to needlessly kill lots of critters. of course, having to rely on passwords instead of in-game saves and the absurd cheesiness of the premise of the game pretty much killed it. even the first dos-based Dune that didn't even have click and drag looked better.

    ah well, if somebody built that solid engine up properly with story and graphics (say, Blizzard with Warcraft I?), then i think we've got something of a gem there.

  • Awesome game, massive improvement over previous games. 3 civs, 3 major gods each, and 5 heroes per civ. Great game and highly varied and interesting. Turn-based on ds has never been better.

  • You people expect too much. You are playing on ds. You should know by now that ds fail at real time games. Infact, hand held devices in general fail at real time games. If you want real time play on a computer, xbox or playstation instead of complaining about an otherwise good game.

  • You need to patch the ARM 7 file. Use DSLAZY, I did and it runs fine on my R4 using 1.18. Actually I don't know why I've bothered to post this. From reading the comments above other people have posted the same info and people are still asking what to do or claiming it does'nt work. It bloody does! Just patch it.

    i have tested it only on R4 it works Fine (i think it works to on others)
    and its a really good game!!

  • This game should work just fine on the R4DS. Those who have an R4DS "copy" should probably download something to make it work properly, or maybe double check... y' know what I'm sayin'...

  • I bought the game before I got my acekard and it is officially and awesome game. I prefer it to AoM on the PC, as it is turn based, which makes it a lot more tactical, as you have enough time to consider your move. It is a good game, but I still think Civilization Revoloution is a better game if you want an turn based strategy game on the DS.

    1.Dawn of discovery has growing of towns like age of empires,
    2.final fantasy has fighting style like age of empires,
