    Only way to tell is to go through the first portal (in the fair) and see if it freezes



    IF not your going to have to download A chrono trigger torrent like I did with the Cheat database to override the privacy thing

  • Can anyone tell if you need to patch this version as well? Just play 5min to get into 1s t teleport and check if the game hangs

  • Just have to wait a europe patch now. I don't manage to patch the game myself on my Supercard :( Have to be patient now, if someone heard about a europe patch i'm all yours.

  • The game looks and plays really well but unfortunatly it freezes in the first portal (european version with R4) i've seen the cheat codes but don't know how to apply these to the rom as there is no cheat option.

  • Whenever i play this rom it alwasy says "unable to acces data, please turn off and reinsert agme card". doe it on all roms, anyone know why??

  • You have to download the latest CHEAT.DAT or USRCHEAT.DAT and then you can choose cheats and then choose "game fix" and then u can play it!! :D

    put this in your \_system\_ folder on your flashcard and then u must startup your DS and then select cheats at chrono trigger and then select "game fix"

  • I downloaded this and it works up until crono's in that portal thingy at the start and then it goes to the portal thing and thats it, the game doesn't continue. anyone know why?

  • If you get stuck in the portal (like almost everybody does) then all you have to do is patch the game... im pretty sure that i downloaded a file called YSmenu. you will notice that some of the cheats for games you had are now gone. you need to go onto the second link when you start up the R4. before you start chrono trigger, go onto the cheats and select the the bypass cheat right at the top. once selected, save and start the game. it works normally from that point on unless you disable the cheat...

    i did that and got the game fix cheat, now it goes through the portal without the game freezing

  • This version of Chrono Trigger didn't work for me on my DSTT (NDSTT), even with the cheat fix, but the (J) did. The Japanese version has English language as long as your DS language setting is English.

    I'm using unofficial firmware 1.17a07 and the usrcheat.dat from gbatemp dated 09_26_09.

  • Classic game not to be missed from the late SNES age of Squaresoft. Its like Final Fantasy combat with a completely different storyline and time traveling. Lots of great weird characters and comical evil guys to defeat. One of my favorite games of all time for sure.
