  • Anybody else freezing at the first battle, on a black screen with a yellow star? I'm on a CycloDS evolution.

  • I am using R4 and it freezes/black screens after the start screen.

  • There is no actual fix yet (Narin's fix doesn't work properly), I'm pretty sure there is actually more than one piracy check throughout the game. They've really gone all out with this one, we're just gonna have to wait. :(

  • On my DS One I go to start a new game and the screen goes blank I have tried using the patcher over at GBAtemp and checking for the new formware for my DS One but it still doesn't work.

  • If the game is crashing for you, there is most likely a anti-piracy check for this game. Just wait for a fix and a menu translation.

  • Yeah it seems like all the commercial or good releases are doing this.. There isn't a fix to play this yet.



    We will have to wait. I never got chrono trigger to work either, I hope this doesn't end up the same.

  • The game won't enter... when it comes to the battle mode (with Bowser in peach castle.... even I have the anti piracy code...)

  • As it seems, Nintendo has added multiple piracy checks into the game. It seems like they are doing this with all commercial releases, and the english release will probably have the same piracy check.



    As of now, I have counted 4 piracy checks, with the latest at the first battle.

  • Mos companies that put out hard ware to put these downloads on, (R4s, SuperCards etc.) come out with firmware updates to fix these issues.

  • Go grab Narin's fix on Gbatemp, it works for me - No freezes so far, I think he's fixed all the piracy checks. =D

    I have an R4, but it has YSMenu - use that, R4 1.18 is so outdated now it isn't funny.

  • Piracy checks are going to be put in at least every major release if not all publicised releases for the ds so we'll just have to wait for the fixes to be released if someone is willing to release any (narin so far has been our saviour) we need to be patient and greatful to those with the expertise to fix these issues so we can carry on "borrowing" our games xD

    on topic: this game is great fun I'm having more fun playing this than partners in time

The english version is not out yet so stop asking. Chances are if you find a rom on another site you'll find it here on romulation soon enough. The other sites are either fakes or just a tad early. Now stop wasting people's time and be patient and just wait for your free games.

  • Its safe to say that this game works perfect on my R4 i havent had any problems with the saving the first battle or anything, a great game i recomend it.

  • I'm a little surprised that no one has commented here. I know that Romulation is very good for giving patched and working roms. I haven't tried the download yet but I know there are issues everywhere with patches that don't work etc. I had a version and found that it failed, I highly recommend staying away from the instructions for a YSmenu upload, I completely lost 50 games with .SAV files trying to load and utilize all the info and downloads I found. It could have been my fault, but I have read about others - who seem to know what they are doing - having had similar problems.

  • Anyone wondering how to put the Protection Bypass cheat, all you need to do is add it to your usrcheat.dat and tht can be done with the folling program.

    DS Cheat Code editor or r4cce(better)

    Once on r4cce open up the usrcheat.dat which is found in TTmenu from their you should know what to do.
