  • Just started playing it. Good concept and not as easy as I expected. So far it's been pretty challenging - it took me awhile to get use to the "flick" maneuver.

  • Rhythm Heaven has the player tap, flick, and hold the stylus on

    the touch screen to make a beat to go with the background music for the

    level. The Nintendo DS is held on its side like a book with the top

    screen on the left and the touch screen on the right (vice versa in

    left-handed mode). There are ten sets of stages with five stages per

    set - four original levels, and a final remix

    level that uses scenes from the first four levels. After the sixth set

    of stages, the game has second versions of most of the earlier levels

    with a higher difficulty level. When trying to make a beat properly,

    the player has three things that can happen - the beat can either be

    correct, it can be a half-miss, or he or she may miss altogether. At

    the end of the stage, the player is judged on his or her rhythm with

    three ranks - High Level, Mediocre, and Redo. If the player gets High

    Level or Mediocre, he or she gets to go to the next level up. If he or

    she gets Redo, the level has to be redone. Getting a Mediocre puts a

    silver border on the stage's icon and unlocks the next level, while

    getting a High Level puts a gold border on it and awards a medal.

    Accumulating these medals unlocks additional mini-games, including

    endless games, rhythm toys and guitar lessons. After getting a gold

    border, the game may pick this stage out for the player to try to get a

    Perfect Heart. If the player gets it, the stage gets "Perfect" written

    below it, and the song is unlocked in the music player in the coffee

    shop. When the player returns to the stage select screen after

    completing a level, a number starts to change, and depending on how

    well the player did, it may go up, down, or stay the same.

  • This game is great. The music is well compiled, and the challenge of the game is perfectly balanced. Easy to pickup and play, but not so easy as to you beat it in a day.

  • It's a very intersting collection of rhythm mini games. It's the presentation and basic art style that makes you play throughit though.

    Reccomended. Not many differences between Rhythm tengoku gold and this one, so if you already played tengoku, not a need to try this one.

  • Better and much more challenging than any warioware game so far and just as addictive if not more. Hours of gameplay too! Best unexpected great ds game of the year for me personally.

  • Running DS Supercard ONE it freezes after each level. Also, the music gets jumbled up and makes weird noises sometimes. Anyone else have these problems or know how to fix it? newbie here.

  • Really good game even though i had to keep trying to pass all the stages . while my sister was able to do a lot of them on her first try >\_>. it work's great on acekard2.

  • Rhythm Heaven is my all time favorite NDS game. OMG I just can't get over how awesome it is!!! Tsunku's music is awesome! Hope for more from him in the future!

  • It's a really cool idea, but the flick is really fairly non-responsive.



    I missed sou many times just trying to flick, but it wouldn't register.

  • This is probably one of the best games out there. Incredibly addictive and fun, you'll be spending quite a lot of time on it. Even after going through all the songs, I still play it often. xP

  • Hey, just wondering is anyone else having trouble on the game with the OFF BEAT marchiing ppl? at a certain point, my R4 freezes just as the part with the faces begins. I only know that cuz i played the whole thing on a friends DS. I tried my r4 in their DS and it stilll froze. So im wondering if it might be something wrong with my R4 or the Rhythm Heaven.nds rom, or perhaps it has that action replay bypass thing w/e its called like what Nintendo put on the Chrono Trigger rom so that it freezes at a certain point. Anyone know how to help?

  • Yes. I must admit...this is one of my absolute fave games on the DS. I do think that it 'grades' very strictly. There are times that I KNOW I didn't miss, but I will have to redo.

  • Doesnt seem to work on my sons R4 card. Created a SAV file, but when game was loading says it cant access it. This has happened on a number of games I have downloaded for my kids. Any ideas would be welcome ?
