This is a new twist i love it and hope to see more of its kind IT is a MUST.
Seen ALOT of requests for this one figured I would take it for a test drive myself.
I like the story but the theme was too kiddie (IMO)
Everything about this game is awesome except for the GBA-esque visuals. I'll take gameplay and ingenuity over graphics any day of the week, though, and Atlus continues to do the DS gaming community proud by being involved with releases like this. Now I'm just gonna cross my fingers and hope that someone picks up Culdcept DS for all us poor westerners.
The previous game is great for the Wii (Dokapon Kingdom) and me and my two brothers can play it for hours, killing each other and fighting for each town. This game is a great idea, bringing it to the DS, I am very excited to play it! This is a must get for all you RPG/Marip Party fans (without all the minigames I think). Enjoy it! ^^
This game is amazing. Its like a mario party rpg. The story may be a little not there in terms of quality (basic save the kingdom from monsters) but its definitely worth the download. The Wii version (Dokapon Kingdom) is just as awesome, its easy to spend over 6 hours playing the game at one time. The only problem I have is that no matter what setting I put the computers on, the always seem to pwn me :I

Is the gameplay different from it's GBA counterpart? The GBA one is a dungeon crawler game similar to Chocobo's Dungeon and Izuna.

Awesome so far, it's like a cross between mario party and final fantasy.. except easier lol.
i'm guessing after a couple hours play (5-10)
It COULD get stale/repetitive
but overall quite a good game.. havn't tried multiplayer yet but im guessing that would be fun.

So I'm playing story mode with all girls...do I still get to marry the princess if I win? ;)
The problem is that the screenshots look good but when you play it it feels like poop (as in cwap)
Board game + rpg + cute = OK game
Uh. It gets boring by if you play against the computer, but with friends it is muuuch better. You can rob, fight and KILL your friends. So fun.
Seriously, if any of your friends own a DS, play this with them. You only need the 1 cart! It is muuuuuuuuuch better with friends.

This game is awsum! espessialy the large number of ATK spells and DEF spells! i love having a 3 player match and i control all of the players! and i can even change the controler of any player in the middle of the game! i played this gamw with my friend today. it was really fun! we had a magic duel! we gathered magic until we had full list, then started to weakn eachoter then fired powerfull magic! i even blew him away and sent him to a lv 54 lace and then a monster killed him :P
It looks like a RPG for people below the age of six (no offence), so I'm probably not going to try it.
This game is pretty fun, but it is difficult (or i just suck lolol) Has anyone found a faq for it at all? There's nothing on gamefaqs, thats the only place i know to look :(

This game if fun for Wii, but it gets boring after 8 hours and letting the CPU run is fun :D

Am playing this on the R4, and it works just fine.
I have yet to complete the game, but...
It feels a lot like a board game, to me. You start out by choosing whether you want three or four players. From there you decide which mode you'd like. Story, Greed, or Battle Mode. You then choose how strong you'd like your NPC competitors. You can choose from easy, normal, or "mean". Classes include Fighter, Amazon, Bandit, Spy, Mage, Witch, Paladin, or Valkyrie. After that, you're told that if you "win", you get to marry the King's daughter.
It doesn't matter if you're a female character. I'm assuming the offer still stands.
From there, you spin a wheel, and get to move 1 to 6 spaces. If you land on a treasure chest, you get a random skill/item. If you land on a blank space, you fight a monster. You're competing against the NPC to get to the town that's being attacked by monsters. This is as far as I can tell, anyway.
Fun game. Though for me, it got old fast. Seems like the kind of thing that would be fun on a long roadtrip, though.

A gem of a game, very addictive, can be hard, just stick with it !!
Unless you've got friends to play with, don't bother. The computer will get exactly what rolls it needs, when it needs them. Even if it's using 5 spinners.
