  • It needed an Arm7 patch on my R4 to work, as did 3507. Sound is annoyingly garbage but writing is ok.

  • I played the euro version, and I was unaware that the US version was about the be released! I do think that it's a great game, to pass time when you have nothing to do.   • Yay i've been waiting for this game ;D the graphics look good however it's played real time which i have a habit of forgetting i.e. Animal Crossing, i think my animals have abandoned me ;(

  • So does this have protection like the european version? If so, does anyone have an Action Replay code to bypass it? Using the Arm 7 patch would make Wifi undoable, so if anyone has an AR code or knows how to make it please tell me.

  • The (E) never had protection...

    The only differences I can think of are the several new items and the removal of the "Love Slave" rumor.

  • I downloaded the (E) and had to have the patch file with it in my R4 to make it able to read the save file, and the (U) file seems to want the same thing. The problem with this is that there is no connecting to Nintendo WFC with the patch, because it just sorta remains there forever. If we R4 users try it without the patch, it just tells us to turn it off because it can't read the save data.

  • It IS possible to connect to wifi after patching it. With the patched European version, all I needed to do was patch it again with the arm7 file from Bomberman 2 and it worked. This also fixes the wifi problems with GTA as well.

  • I think he means taking the Arm7 out of Bomberman 2 and putting it in place of the Arm 7 in this game.



    I'll try it on this version once somebody gives us a patch lol. I'd do it on the (E) version, but I have friends I want to play with on the (U) version so you know.

    Played the European version and liked it quite a bit.

    Think Animal Crossing with some harry potter thrown in plus more things to do than collect items and pay money.

    Theres mysteries to solve and a slight bit of story here and there.

    Plus you can go nuts and date animals, if your into that sorta thing.

    Never gets past Boyfriend/Girlfriend acknolegement so don't go crazy just for that. :P

    Still, the AI shows personality more and makes them a bit more interesting than Animal Crossing's "I like to collect items" personality types.



    I suggest buying this if you liked Animal Crossing at all.

    Just be ready to have to do a few more things per week than Animal Crossing has.

  • It needs to be patched for the R4 with latest kernel or you will get a white screen and the message "unable to read save data".

  • The eruo ver. is better than the us ver. alot of the music been redone idont like that plus txt glicth whitch they didnt bother fixing and the date still reads ddmmyyyy which on all three

  • For those who are unsure how to patch / too lazy to be bothered to, I've uploaded a patched version of this. Save and gameplay all work fine. However, Nintendo WFC does not work (due to patching I suspect) so someone will have to figure that one out. Otherwise, you can get past the "save & restart" screen.     the game is very similar to animal crossing except you can cast spells here

  • Just to make it clearer what yudevon posted, thats the arm7 patch which enables gameplay, but freezes up when trying wifi, if anybody has an alternate way of allowing us to play the game which keeps the ability of wifi, please post it. On Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time there was an Action Replay code that bypassed protection and still let you play wifi, so if somebody could make that it'd be cool.

    So did you in fact play with the (E) cartridge?

  • The (E) version goes by a seperate name, it is called Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry, and was here about a month before the (U) version of this game was even released.

  • Got it working with Wifi lol. If anyone else doesn't know how, imput the Arm 7 file from the game below using DS Lazy, and it will work.

  • Ok well i was able to use the arm 7 patch that someone discussed earlier that allowed bomberman to work and i patched it into my version, which allowed me to access the wifi with no problems. since i'm at work now, when i get home, i'll upload a copy of the working version for those of you who don't know how to patch it or don't want to do it themselves...



    it should be uploaded by 4...i'm hoping! :)

  • You can certainly change the save file from the E to the U version. Previously I didn't have the option for wifi thanks to the patch, but the above link for the U version allowed it. For some reason, though, I've having real trouble getting over just the music change! The E version has nice music that actually sounds like something out of harry potter or something, this U crap is now EXACTLY like animal crossing background music! I don't know why, but it's REALLY bugging me.

  • Thats because the (E) version changed the music from what was in the (J) version, and when the (U) version was finally made, they changed it back to the music from (J) for some reason.

  • This game takes all the fun elements of Animal Crossing and turns them up to 11. Definitely a keeper.

  • Lsn every body i pa tched this game

    1.download dslazy and arm7

    2.open dslazy and import the .nds file u want to patch

    3.press the nds unpack button on dslazy, and replace the real arm7 by the arm7 patch u downloaded

    4.press the nds pack button on dslzy and save on ur desktop.

    5.put the new patched nds file onto ur r4

    6.turn on the r4 and ur gd to play

    this works on most non working nds games

    sutible for all,
    simple, easy and fun.

    How 2 Fix

    download dslazy and arm7
    open dslazy and import the .nds file u want to patch
