  • Wow i didnt even know they were coming out with a new anno game for ds, if you havent played dawn of discovery then all you really need to know is this game is like civ crossed with simcity, definetly more of a micro managed based focus for anno. once you get settled the game is actually not bad, go for the free play though, the tutorial is too bloody long and drawn out

  • This is the sequel to Anno 1701: Dawn of Discovery and it rocks! It's one of the few city builders out there. It has a different look than the 1st game (less realistic and more cartoony than 1701) simply because this title is actually a companion to the Wii version. A new age, some improvements to the interface and an easier way of doing things are what this game is all about and as a sequel it succeeds. Overall the game is great. Get it now!

  • I've played story mode for three hours now so here's my take:

    It's a pretty big improvemen over the original Anno for the DS:

    1. When you place buildings, the view changes to a grid so you can see where to place things an where other building are.

    2. The story mode does a better job of gradually introducing new concepts

    3. Every feature is well explained and "tooltips" can be opened at any time if you forget

    4. The orient tech tree, treasure maps, and sea charts along with fertility add a ton of depth although I'm not far enough in yet to really see their full effect

    5. The cutscenes between Chapters have voice-acting, but only images no video

    So, I think this game is amazing and if you liked the first one you'll probably love this one. It's easy to get the hang of since things are introduced so slowly but paced well. I just started chapter 4 and my population has only reached rank 3/5 so far and I have no military. 9/10

    No, no skyscrapers.

    It isn't set in the modern world like sim city is.

    its set in the time of pirates and stuff like that.

    I'm not sure of the name of that era.

    its in time around 1700AD

  • Well, we don't have this game on the wii or whatever. They don't sell this game in Holland, but anyway, since I read all the positive comments, it must be a good game. Everyone says so. I go download it and than just wait and see:P.
