    for all you that are thinking that this is just the US version, you are wrong, I have just checked the ROMs game ID which is:

    Game ID: CPUE-3B823103 - UK/Europe



    and I have cross referenced this game id on codejunkies website where you can get Action Replay cheats for the game and the Pokemon Platinum UK/Europe cheat codes are for this ROMs game id.

    So the game id for this ROM is exactly the same as the UK/European game id that is on the codejunkies website. I have also checked the US game code which is:

    Game ID: CPUE-D074D1B3 OR CPUE-3811DEF6 - US-American

    so as you can see, both ROMs have different game id's which correspond to the ROM appropriate to there region. So this Europe ROM of Pokemon Platinum, IS Indeed the European/UK version....Hope this helps people. Have fun

  • ^^ There was no need to post that three times. Anyway, I wonder if there are any NOTICEABLE differences between the EU and US versions. Been playing the US one in short bursts (along with many other games) BUT since I already forgot what I was supposed to do and where to go, I MIGHT consider restarting it - the EU verision this time.

  • The difference between Pokemon Platinum US and EU is that you can register your location on Geonet in America where it's the US version and Europe when it's Europe version... I think, but I haven't checked. I know that Japanese version only allow you to register your location in Japan and French version everywhere. (somebody should check if you know what Geonet is...)

    This question has already been asked numerous times and yes this IS the EUROPE/UK version of Pokemon Platinum. It's game id is UK/European. I did post this information a few posts up...three times infact, its just a matter of reading the information!!

  • If you can save it mostly means you memory card is full you need to make space for the save! i had the same with other game till i made room on my dstt card! what is the differense between the usa version and the europe version? does it have different languages? or game play?

  • The wifi trading isnt bugged anymore on the UK version. You can see the levels of the pokemon people need =]

    open options, emulation setup and UNDER the "NDS Cartridge Backup Media" option, change the value to FLASH 512KBytes.

    Open the controls tab and set the controls you want

    then click on Options and click on "save options"

    then Click on File and click on "reset Cartridge".

    and it should work... worked for me =] enjoy

  • When i save my data on this game its fine, but when i go onto the game again it always says that the data is corrupt! Can anybody help me?!?!

  • Same problem as robinz26, when i save the game in no$gba there's no problem, it even says there's already a save game do you wish to overwrite when i save again ( even tho there is no .sav file appearing in BATTERY folder), but when restart the game i have to start all over, when i save the game in iDeaS it takes long to save and when i restart it gives me an error message stating a Communication Problem and that i will be returned to the last save point and it asks me to press A, but then the game just freezes. after saving in IDeaS a .sav does appear and it took the whole 512kb space the emulator was set to, thats quite alot compared to all the other games that just took 1 to 20kb, is the amount of save space of the game really too big for an emulator or is the ROM bugged in any way?

  • Main problem for me is when I put pokemon in PC, once I save & turn off, the pokemon has gone frmo the pc but still is shown as 'Caught' in the Pokedex. Another problem I found yesterday was my friend traded me a pokemon so it could evolve, then we traded back our orginial pokemon. However once I turned on & off again, I had his pokemon, annoying ?!

  • I am not suggesting that the game is terrible, but the differences from Platinum to Diamond/Pearl are so small that I hardly find it worth it to replay the entire game. The graphics, as usual, are superb, the same story line from Diamond/Pearl are carried on, and Touch Screen use is extremely limited. If you have not played Diamond/Pearl, Platinum should be a good choice for you to play. :)

  • Great game... more options of game play than Diamond/Pearl(D/P)...

    If you haven't played the other two installments then this is a must!

    5/5 if you haven't played any of the other two.

    3/5 if you have played D/P.

  • If you would like to save this game you need to patch your M3/R4 etc, or patch this game to find patches i would recommend GBATemp or Youtube.com.
