  • Yeah, a pointless upload unless you buy an activity meter, which is essentially a pedometer, which you have in your pocket all day while walking around and then you use it to upload your daily progress.

  • Really quite pointless putting this up for download, you need to pedometer which means buying it.

  • It's not pointless. I, for one, own the games that I download. I download to keep multiple games at once. I know I'm not the only one that does this - in which case, people who download this may already have the meter anyway.

  • Lobomoon: i'm not sure if you're serious, but it's a counter that counts each step you take (when you walk it jiggles for and that makes it count a step) it just counts how many steps you take, it's for weight loss purposes or something.

    my weight loss coach had a pedometer too but you could just enter in whatever you wanted without it.

  • As a product it's too pricey, in my opinion, to do well. You get two

    "Activity Monitors" with the cart, and you can buy them separately, but

    there nothing else here.

    The adults who have a DS will buy carts

    like Brain Training and the language Coach but they'll probably think

    twice when it comes to extra gadgets and gimmicks. And very few kids

    are really going to want this. You could get two games for the same

    price.

    Maybe if you combined the monitors with a good game,

    where your daily stats help you progress or give you bonuses within the

    game, then I think it would have a better chance. I bet the Japanese

    would buy into a gimmick like that even more readably that here in the

    West.

  • You don't take your DS around, you take the pedometer with you THEN later you upload your data from the pedometer to the DS.



    Also this is here so there isn't a gap (like the game you can't download for some legal reason) else you would moan there's a gap. People may also have been given the 2nd pedometer but need the game (???)

  • Would this work with the "my weight loss couch" pedimeter? (im not fat i just bought it because i can't run 5 metres)

    i wouldn't buy this game, sounds boring... i don't think i'd downlaod it either, u can use paper to register your results and a pedo-meter which u buy for a dollar or so....

  • They are releasing a separate activity meter for those that want more than 2 that comes with the hard copy of the game.

    I cant think of anything that would stop you downloading this rom then buying the activity meter (which should still be able to connect to the ds) or a cheap pedometer and manually inputting your results in to the game.

  • Even though you can buy the activity meters seperately, according to the packaging, you have to sync them with the cart via ir, whichc means if you don't have the original you won't be able to transfer the data. Can anyone confirm?

  • Thought this would be pretty interesting, as they are selling the pedometers seperately. However was looking at it in the shop today and the pedometers do not use the DS's in built wireless to communicate the game cart has a little IR sensor which it uses to communincate with the pedometers....So no dice i'm afraid no way you can play this properly without buying the game itself. Pretty clever copyright protection if you ask me lol

  • You can buy a pedometer from the nintendo online store for $14. http://personaltrainerwalking.com/ on the right it say buy additonal pedometers and you can buy them there! so again not pointless AT ALL!!! nubes like do you home on a game before you make stupid comments

  • Ok people stop shouting about this game being useless, you can buy the additional pedometers yes however they communicate via infa red in the cart so will only work with the retail copy, downloading this file will not communicate with the accessory however if you just want to have a look then go ahead, no need to get all angry!!!

  • I love this idea. I own the game however I have leant it to a friend so they can test it out with the pedometer so I am using this download with my spare meter to keep at it.

  • Altough I bought the pedometer, the downloaded game didn't work with the pedometer, because the original game has the IR sensor (mentioned before by s.o. else). Thus the game is useless for download or has anyone else an idea??? Thx.
