  • In Puffins: Island Adventure, players become part of a Puffin flock

    and experience their arduous, but rewarding, existence as they learn to

    fly, dive, start a family and more. While navigating through the

    island, they will interact with other Puffins, play games to earn the

    favor of their peers and raise a family to carry on their legacy.

    Puffins: Island Adventure features mini-games that relate to real-life

    Puffin activities underwater, in air and on land. By mastering the

    Puffin 500, Puffin Plummet and Tide Pool Fishing, players earn

    reputation points that unlock pictures and videos of real Puffins in

    their natural Canadian locales. If players make it far enough, they

    will unlock new levels and even their very own Puffin burrow.

    Gameplay through the untamed wilderness is accompanied by

    traditionally-styled Atlantic Canadian music composed of exotic

    instruments including the tin whistle, fiddle and bodhran. Music

    composition features the talent of one of Canada's most popular

    artists, Alan Doyle, frontman for the world renowned band Great Big

    Sea. In addition, Puffins: Island Adventure also features 4 player

    local and 2 player Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection multiplayer modes.

  • Well so far Puffin's can fly, talk, and look Awsome on the DSi. The engine used for the graphics are impressive, ds will start to see more and more games with high production value even if they dont sell. Look at "Soul Bubbles" for the DS, it took between 2-3 years to develope and shows>blow in the mic while playin a stage to see what I mean. Soul Bubble's is tru inovation just like "Puffins"!

  • This game is actully pretty engaging...nice graphics, the mini-games are simple and fun (like puffin racing, something like mini golf, target shoot, etc) and as you open up more and more levels to more and more games, you gain a mate, egg, baby, house and can use the "money" (fishes) to buy stuff.

  • Great game! I love it lol

    Just one quick thing I was playing a mini-game (the maze where you have to collect the green fish) and I got a C and then it the screen went black. I waited a few minutes then turned it off and turned it back on to this game. I loaded my profile and got the black screen. I'm not asking for a fix this is just a warning of what happened to me D: still good game.

  • It must just be me, but I did not enjoy this game as much as I thought that I would. The puffins (puffins are marine birds that are NOT penguins but live in the same types of environments) look great, and the graphics are pretty good. I did not have the patience for playing the game to the end, though, because you must repeatedly play through the same mini-games if you did not pass them with flying colors.
