A tile-based game that's been around since the 1940s.
Now this classic game is set to be unleashed on a whole new audience: DS owners. Game Factory Online is publishing Rummikub and has confirmed it's based on the standard version of the boardgame and aimed at a 'seven-plus' audience.
I'd look it up on wikipedia for how to play the game tbf, this isn't really my cup o' tea
Has English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.
Ooh, Dutch as well hehe, i did wonder what the 6th language would be, hence the (M6).
For people who don't already know, when a ROM has (M5) or in this case (M6) by it then it means it has multiple languages, eg. (M5) means it has 5 different languages, (M6) means it has 6 etc.
simple :D
I love this game in real life, so thank you for this download.
When I saw that Rummikub was coming to the DS I was both excited and nervous. I really like the game but hardly ever play because I'm too lazy to get out the tiles and set it up (plus I have a two-year-old who has now strewn them all over the house). However I was worried that the gameplay would be horrible and the graphics bad, etc...
I was pleasantly surprised that that wasn't the case. If you've played the game before you'll have no problem picking this up and jumping right in. It feels very easy to put matches together and mess around with tiles in play. They even through in a "medals" system for some added incentive. Very fun game! And as always, thanks romulation!
Yay!~
Can I do multi card play or single card play with Rummikub?
Yes!
I was realy waiting for this release!
Thanks Romulation!!!
I do like the original game; it is very simple to learn but is quite deep and challenging, but I'm not too enthusiatic about this version. It just seems like a really bare bones release and the music is truely aaaawful.
It does, however, have both single and multi card play, so it might be quite fun to play with other DS-owning, rummikub-playing people. :D
I LOVE RUMMYKUB
I really like the original. This one is OK, but horribly buggy and few if any unlockables (such as backgrounds, and new faces, which don't matter anyway).
The game is rummikub so it's fun, but every once in a while I'll make a move that the game won't interpret correctly and something horrible will happen. Tiles disappear occasionally, and at one point there were two 7s sitting out alone. The computer made this move, but I was penalized.
What I've found is that if anything screwy happens, you should quit (and choose "save" when it asks). When you return to the game you saved, things will be fixed. For example, it will recognize that two 7s is illegal.
But I've played 9 games, and something crazy and terrible has happened 4 times. So enjoy that.
I love it!!!!
I love this boardgame, hopefully te ds version works well.
This game is very good. It is a bit like Gin. I don't have any of the problems that notdeadyet has said, but I am having another problem. I have a R4-SDHC Upgrade and it always has to create a save file when I reload the game, so I lose all my trophies. If someone has a solution I would be grateful.
On another note, I find it gets boring easily when you are playing 1 computer player, when you keep winning. It is alot better with 2 computer players.
I own!
I hate the name but i like the game
Nice game, has frozen on me a couple of times though, this happened to anyone else?
Feel the layout could have been designed better, too much space given to the rack for tile placement which was unneccesary as you can scroll down anyway.
Would also have been better if you could see how many tiles your opponent has left, there isn't any indication of how close your opponent is to winning.
Hmmh...i think i'll pass, would have been a great game if it had wifi
Shame you've got no idea how many tiles your opponent has. Also pretty flaky programming - freezing, disappearing tiles, odd tiles appearing on the main display with it giving a 3 tile penalty. At that stage I give up and start another game.
But looking at Usenet I came across a version with 'patched' in its title - seems much better and haven't had to restart since trying it. (Though some tiles to disappear and reappear now and again)
the rummikub face is so scary, i think i nearly shat myself
I have this game in real life and I thought that was good and this is about the same
I like playing this game as i am trying to sleep! It's a relaxing game, I love it!! I wonder if they'll make word rummikub too?
Foooo
