  • I'm guessing that this is a card game like Yu-Gi-Oh! but the thing is I don't know much about it besides that. But below is a Youtube video of what the card game is.

    "NCS Preorder Synopsis
    The Card Live-R property in Japan is a triple threat with representation in an animation series, a card game, and manga. Better make that a quadruple threat with a Nintendo DS game shipping in July 2009. The story follows the adventures of a lad named Kakeru Amato who rescues a wounded pup. As a sort of reward, Kakeru gets something known as a "Live-Change Card" which imparts the ability for Kakeru to transform into a powerful monster. That makes him a Card Live-R who's a card flipping player that summons monsters from cards to battle other monsters from cards called forth from other Card Live-Rs. Compelling."

  • Grow up children. If a person likes a particular series then let them. The consoles and names of the games is easy to find if you go to a Yu-Gi-Oh fan site that lists game releases of Yu-Gi-Oh games. I personally am not the largest fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh series, but since WoTC wont release a Magic: The Gathering TCG on any system other than actual cards, I wont be holding my breath. Battlegrounds sucked as it wasnt even a proper M:TG game and planescapes wont work on any system past Windows 95.

    If its a lot like Yu-Gi-Oh it probably a closer match to something like Duel Masters, which from the previous comments is exactly what it sounds like. I would like to see more of this genre, independently produced or based off of popular series, however its unlikely that this niche market will ever expand much.

    As for the gameplay and other elements, I will wait for the (U) or (EU) version before commenting as my japanese is slightly rusty in the Kanji department.

  • This sounds like it could be a good little game. Waste a little bit of time on it (if there's any way of getting it English).

    Also, avendarian, just go out and get a Win 95 install disk from somewhere. Simples.

  • For aven: Wololo released Magic: The Gathering homebrew game for PSP with over 3000 cards in it. Try that. As for DS - I don't think it's powerful enough to handle anything more complex than yugioh.

  • More complex than yu-gi-oh?.. God give me strength. Not to derail, but a simple MTG game is on Xbox30 (I think in the XBLA), and the DS is capable of handling as much as a programmer can manhandle into it.

    I like the visuals in the game, not half bad. But the premise behind it is a little cliche and I can't comment on the story or the actual game asI'm fumbling around without any knowledge in Japanese.

  • i wish there where more card battle games on ds the ds it perfect like the sylus can be used for picking card in your hand and stuff

  • and also lobbmon the ds has a lot of power its just that so few have pushed it till the game was so awsome that your eyes blow up

  • @avendarian There's a MTG game on XBOX360 called Magic the Gathering: Duel of the Plainswalkers and it's actually pretty good. I've been playing MTG for years and I liked the demo I got to try with my friend. The decks we got to use were basic starter sets, but I remember it saying you can get other cards and switch stuff up in the actual game.

  • I quit MTG a little while after the artifact series' were released. Things just got too screwed up and convoluted. not to mention they were going the direction of all other card games out there. Holographic this holographic that. And the new card design is crap. Give me some good old M:TG back before those sets, when stronghold was one of the newest sets to collect from. It would be a little difficult to put MTG on the DS due to the sheer number of cards in the game, also you have to decide are you going to go type 1 or type 2, or classic. unlike YGO where you now decide OCG or TCG :/
