As for the game, It's not great, very much like The Sims where you look after your villagers and help them grow and build relationships and keep them happy. Nothing new or original about it but if you're a fan of The Sims games on DS then this is worth a look at least.

I'm enjoying this one. It's slow, at least so far (as is the nature of such games) but good graphics, easy functions, pretty typical sim game. I agree that if you like these kinds of games - which i do - then you'll probably like this.

Wow! I've been waiting on this game since the stone age!

I don't mind the European Rom, as long as I can play it. Awesome!

Virtual Villagers is a simulation game, a bit like the Sims. I wouldn't say it's completely like the Sims for the simple fact that on the Sims, you don't have any Sims building your house and you can't just go have random babies with just about anyone.

It's about you starting a new bigger tribe with the small tribe you've got.
In order for your village to work, you MUST have a chief. A chief can range from the age of 2 on up, talk about weird, taking orders form a child, haha.

It is easy to get the hang of and once you do, you can't put it down (Unless they're building something which takes AGES.)

I can't review this game more than that until I play it a bit more. They have Virtual Villagers for PC and I fell in love. The only issue I had with it was giving them a specific job like Parenting and going to sleep, only to wake up with a village of babies!!! >_<

I haven't had that problem yet, but I'll update my review once I'm done.

The game is worth it if you like simulation and taking control.

i've tried this game, similiar to the pc version. btw tried on both r4 and ysmenu. While there's no problem using r4 v1.18, when using ysmenu i'm stuck on white screen when going to minigames

you have to build more huts in order to have more babies. if you dont, the number of villagers wont go higher than 7. i have like 8 huts now. the little one lets you have 1 baby while the bigger one lets you have two.

i didnt play this game yet but i tink its good cause ive played the pc(DEMO) version and its fun 5the demo on pc gets boring after a xhile XD)

I just love this game. I played it on pc, and I have been waiting for it on NDS. I have been playing it none stop for 3 days and nights ... HELP ME... I now have 3 Islands and 25 villages. I hope this game goes to WII. Download it and have fun... but remember to get some rest.....

I got the other islands by having my adept/expert builder build a dock with a boat at the bottom left part of the lagoon. Then I had my builder destroy the door that leads to the jungle on the middle right side of the lagoon. You might have to solve a certain number of puzzles. I hope this helps you. :D

I disagree with alot of these people i think it has little in common with sims its true you do control the people in the tribe but u do not build up a relation ship you expand the village train them to further your technology discover fire, hidden items place become spiritualburry your dead, honestly to me GREATTT game BUTTT Keep in mind these are the type of games i like

if you want the game to speed up:
1. save and exit
2. do NOT freeze time
3. turn off then on nds, remove r4/edge, go to time/calendar setting. adjust time or date if you want to advance the time in the game.
4. turn off insert r4/edge then on play the game

First of all, this is a really good game!

You start on a small island with 5 people on it. They are stuck on the island and your job is to make a town for them. That's sounds easy but actually it is quite hard, You can decide what your villagers will do, They can search for food, make a new hut or mayby just watching the sky...

The game has many goals you need to reach, sometimes very easy ones but also very hard and difficult ones. The game time is actually a bit slome, for example it takes about 50 minutes before the new hut is ready. So sometimes you will just wacth you ds for 5 minutes and you will not have to do anything!
That's sounds really boring!, but it isn't cause you will alway's have to pay attention to your villagers, you don't want them to get sick and past away!

So, This game is a slow- sim- fun- game with a gameplay of i think 60 - 70 hours. It is also pretty hard but like i said, really fun! I give it a 9 out of 10....

Just try it and you will see, in no time you will be addicted to it!!

if you like the sims this is a good game you have to keep the people alive and well they can have babies and build homes they find differant things at differant times it takes time to get used to as the villagers are a bit slow at buliding and stuff but in all this game is good!!

i don't really know how the rar files work on my r4i chip. I put the downloaded game on, but nothing shows up when I put it in the ds. How could I it to work ??

This is a really good game with decent graphics and is played in real time. It took me a while to work out that it depends on the stats of the villager to interact with various objects.

I have now discovered the 3rd area... :P It was a bit creepy when one of my villagers whom i had named her my real name died... then another villager buried 'me'.

To be able to bury your villagers, you will need to discover the graveyard in each area you are in. You won't be able to find a graveyard until you build a bridge to the next part of the island and examine the sacred area. I'm not sure about which type of villager you will need to find the graveyard, but I used my expert builder who had a bit of 'priest' stats.

I was wondering if you are able to bathe your villagers -- i've found the water area in the first island. If so, how?

i enjoyed this game! it worked 100% on the DS but when it was tried on the DSi it stopped workin once the game started asking to touch the cogs above the persons head! Does anyone no a way around this to prevent this reocuring again??
