Not an amazing game so far.. Platformer.
Kinda generic, a mix of kirbies canvas curse and any other generic platformer.
Use the markers to make bridges to get to higher platforms etc. or use the different colours to give your stickman special powers, like fire will make your dude jump higher. Not sure exactly what they all do yet.
6/10 imo
8/10
Creative.
Nuff Said.
FROM GAMEFLY:
Draw on your own imagination to find your missing dog in this art- and physics-based adventure challenge. The Marker Man Adventures begin when hand-drawn doggie Doodle Dog goes missing. His owner, the lovable stick figure Marker Man, needs your help to find him. Draw your way through hundreds of puzzles to progress through the adventure and find Doodle Dog. Use the DS Stylus to outline simple shapes like circles, triangles, boxes, lines, and pivot points, then combine them into puzzle-solving machines! Use power-ups to get through tricky tasks and be on the lookout for hidden areas and other surprises.
i thought this was fun... almost like a commercial version of the pocket physics homebrew
here's how to play the game
controls:
using your touch screen, you can draw geometric shapes to guide marker man through the level. the bigger the shape, the more life will be taken from marker man. health is sort of like ink for drawing shapes. the bigger the shape, the more the health will be taken. marker man uses this health tooif he jumps down from a high plaform or touches an enemy, it takes life from the health bar.
drawing a circle around an enemy immobilizes it and allows you to roll it around for a short period of time. it doesn't take any life from the health so be happy about it.
you may notice the marker shaped items that you can collect.
these are refill markers. if you can't draw any more shapes, this means that your health is low. press Y if you have a marker to replenish your life to 100% so you can start drawing again.
things like spikes and water spikes and birthday cakes etc. can kill you so be on the lookout.
to pass the level you need to collect a marker man token so the level hand can accept you. the arrow that is pointing at it may say 1 or 2 meaning you need that amount of marker man tokens to pass the level.
i'm still figuring out about powers but if you want your marker man to have powers, touch him with your stylus to give him a random power for a short amount of time.
I bet this game is to trick some poor kids' mothers into buying it instead of Scribblenauts.
draw a square over him for higher jumping, a circle for swimming(i think), triangle makes you tiny, powers also consume ink, haven't been able to work out any other powers so far, not bad, challenging, 8/10
no tutorial, awful music, idiotic graphics and only for righthanded people
This will pass the time till Scribblenauts nicely (as it comes out in 2 weeks, which I imagine is far longer than this game's length and a longer period than when most kids get to buy game...)
great idea... but 4/10
"only for righthanded people"
if that's the case I can't play it
can't play cuz im lefty
oh god it's so stupid. it's like those physics games but with a man and little bunnies that kill you.
grr... *waits for scribblenauts*
The game is pretty fun. It's similar to what you would find in something like Drawn To Life and Crayon Physics Deluxe. Also, stop comparing this with Scribblenauts. You can't draw in Scribblenauts. You can only write words and manipulate objects, but you can't create your own designs. Like I've said, Marker Man Adventures is more in line with Drawn To Life than anything else.
I like this game i think it will hold out till scribblenauts and I am a lefty
this game is awful.
if you lose all your life and you made it all te way to a far level you restart from level 1.
lol wait no more scriblenouts is here so put it in a file case and store it away
from the screen shots il would give it a 5/10
Its ok i guess?!
3/10 nice try tho
scribblenauts knock off
Not good at all IMO, it's the ONLY game I wanted to delete, and that's saying a lot. Not even able to go past the first level. I guess you need a children's mind to play a children's game.
Sigh could have been OH SO much better -.- failure.. not worth downloadin imo. i was waiting for this game and then got it and i was like >.<
I don't like it at all. I am left handed and I felt it was too difficult to maneuver the controls. The idea might be alright, but Drawn to Life is better. JMO
Fun for bored people i guess, its quite...... entertaining......
