The big flaw in this game is that there's very little you can do to affect what the ants do, most of the time you're just watching them, and the graphics are very poor. Not recommended.

Yes, it is.
I'm going to try this because I really enjoy this genre. For people who might have passed this up, also try Virtual Village. You create and influence a village of people, make them reproduce, specialize in their own feild to advance the village and they eventually grow old and die. I know a lot of people didn't give it a chance and it was quite awesome.
Since I'm finished with that, hopefully this will also be a pleasant surprise.
I like knowing when the graphics are bad and the game is not so good. I read ALL the posts about a game before i determine whether or not i want to download it. In other words the people who are "moaning" are necessary, so leave them alone!

What is this game about? It is the DS version of the wiiware game ant nation. You take care of ants, make them fight ladybugs, grasshoppers, and others to level up and expand your ant farm.
Its ok. A bit tedious and the missions feel like separate battle scenes from a final fantasy game!
It's a strategy game where you are killing other bugs with ants it's actually not that bad give it a try it's only about 3mb. God, it took sevarel months for this to get out. Now I'm just waiting for healthy cooking.

It's not a terribly bad game, you're just going to spend some time waiting and watching your ants do some pretty easy tasks. Great game if you're doing something else while you play, but you will get bored quick if you play this without doing anything else.
This game really reminds me of the old PC game called SimAnt! I loved that game as a kid... :O

i pity the insects as I always park my soldiers beside the sweets I'm harvesting. The insect lands and bitten to death straight away.

good idea.... poor realization... the ants are just moving dots and the main thing you're doing is watching them... go get an ant farm instead...
why would you go and get an ant farm instead if you're not into just sitting and watching them? That's ALL you do with an actual ant farm.
What this game needs is the option in Virtual Village wherein you can save and quit but leave real time on, so the ants continue doing what they're doing while you play something else. Really nice to get the tedious stuff done and out of the way.
i will tell the world that nintendo power gave this game something along the lines of 2 or 3 out of 10, so that should be saying something...

I just tried it it works perfectly fine on R4.This games is pretty fun/I have a huge ant army/Just give it a go. its only a couple of mbs
this game was fun for the day but after the same even killing other bugs building the hill up it got old and boring the mission did keep we going for a bit but in the end i was about to put it down with no problem
Nevermind, this game is crap...this isn't even rts style. Moreover the graphics suck, the menus are badly designed, game is too slow

this looks like the old and quite epic (in my opinion) Sim Ant, but for the ds, but there isnt a time faster option, so it sucks...
ill give a brief but honest answer, Ive always wanted a ant farm but havnt been able to. This game Is quite repetitive and very basic but it is a very small dl so give it a try but for me 3/10

kinda sounds like that old snes game... which i loved, so i guess i could pour some time into this.
do note, this is NOT a simulation game. so no, it doesn't come close to SimAnt's level of intricacy (manual digging, food and population management, etc). I mean, i don't even see the point of food anymore. Your food source exceeds what you need to expand by THOUSANDS. and they're more like a 1-time payment, no upkeep whatsoever. the elemental ants are kinda neat though (ants crossing bodies of water W/O floaters or anything? Sweet!).
too bad there's not SNES emulator that's good enough. i'd still go back to SimAnt's game mechanics.

It is a good game. Game play does become repetitive after a little while.
This game looks alot like the virtuall villagers and fish tycoon, etc, it must be fun, and very small, even better.
