Way better then the first ds games were the characters looked like piece of cut out papers , this time it's 3D!! It's fun 7 out of 10.
I read about this game on Gamespot. it's an arena action game where you create your spore creature and battle others. the combat is observered from a top view, and you use your stylus for just about everything. Personally, I think it's worth a try.

Spore Creatures wasn't the best. Hopefully the Hero Series (Arena on DS and Hero on Wii) will make up for it.

Anywho, this is better than the first, I'm liking the graphics and the character models (much more like the PC Spore than that paper cut-out first game) but the fighting is annoying and time consuming. I'm never really sure how many times I have to knock out a player to win and just the idea of pushing them off the edge as the only way to get a KO is stupid. If I have the ability to spit and hit and bite, I should be able to kill opponents that way, not deplete their "strength" to then bounce them around till they fall off the edge.

It reminds me off brawl for the wii, though the fighting in this game is not as good (not by a long shot).
Spore DS gets boring after a while too.

spore could have done better on this one, on the wii version i think u can explore.

The game is alright, at least the graphics are fully 3D this time. The controls are pretty easy to get into. The only possible way I see to win arena battles is to push your enemies off the stage, their health doesn't seem to affect anything at all. The dialogue isn't very clear and you kind of have to figure out a few things on your own here.
i absoloutley love this game i reccomend this for all ages!
this is a very cool game, the only down side is that you can't switch characters that you've saved!! so u have to actually remake them to play them through the adventure mode, u can however bring the other saved monsters to online or battle mode play. Customizing monsters may be a little bit harder than the first version. And another thing is.. you can't communicate with other monsters like the first version, and convince them to team with you, and you can't backstab any npc's either. I'd say game style is kinda like gaunlet.. because this time all the nest does is massively spam little monsters to attack you, rather than having a set 4 monsters running around the whole plains area.

Their healths do affect the game play, it's like super smash brothers of any type. No health means you get knocked back further and easily depending on how much strength your arms (maybe your bite) can do!

For the people who doesnt know, you can change touch-screen control to gamepad control ;) Create a spore, do the thingies on the first planet, and go to your ship. Go to the ship-tec 3000, click on gameoptions, and than change the controls ;)
I've played all other spore games and i loved them but the reaches of the DS are too limited to make this game any more fun than what you can get on computer or wii.
I love spore on pc, Spore creatures, not the best, but i have to say (considering its on ds)... this games alright. battles are a bit annoying, but you get used to them.
to fix your r and l button blow into it it works trust me

I really like the way you have tp push them over ^^ that means if u practise a lot, You dont have to worry for losing your health and die becouse you are a skilled guarder and wont get pushed over :P And great game. The creator is a bit limited since u cant move the detail parts directly but overall a good game. 8/10

i didnt like this game, i prefer ones where u can explore etc, like the original spore, and spore creatures.
in the wii version it appears u can explore etc.
This is the bomb of all spore ds games 10/10 :) :)
