This game is a 'must have' for everybody that understands german!
For non-german-speakers: Knigge is a historic figure that wrote a verrry famous book some 1000 years ago on how to behave "correctly". In the opera house, for example... lol And Knigge was an Illuminati, of course:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolph_Freiherr_Knigge
"The work is in fact more of a sociological and philosophical treatise on the basis of human relations than a how-to guide on etiquette. Nevertheless, the German term “Knigge” has come to mean “good manners”."
This game is really bad. While I am not foreign to good German etiquette, I can't really recommend this game; for instance, it will mostly just ask questions that have nothing to do with correct behaviour in the general sense (like, how you are most polite), but make you
* guess the correct temperature wine is served (both red and white),
* guess the correct temperature mineral water is served,
* answer the question about which artists were living the same time (Bach and Beethoven)
* answer the question "Do peanuts and red wine go well together" (okay, this COULD have to do with occasions on which you should serve red wine with peanuts (none really), but teaches you that peanuts conceal the wine's flavour -- what's up with that?!)
A quick look at the publisher says RTL group -- yeah, the TV station for grotesque niveau in Germany.
If this game teaches you how to behave correctly, then the Bild Zeitung teaches you how to stay well-informed.
It's a curiosity just because it's soooo bad.
Foooo
