  • this game just has new forms of pokemon like shaymin and giratina and a little bit differnt story line than explores of time/explorers of darkness

  • So far the storyline is just about the same, but you get different pokemon to choose from at the beginning, which was a nice surprise. Still, i'd like to have seen more originality from this game, not another copy with a slight change. The pokemon series has gotten really lazy if you ask me.

  • actually blaziken, it does work on dstt, im using it right now. Make sure your firmware is updated and you have atleast 512MB free space on your card after install or it will freeze, because it uses that much space as a buffer when loading and saving games.

  • if ur that curious Kaizen just read through the coments again >_> ive tried everything i could think of to get it to work on No$GBA (keeping in mind that im not an expert on it) but so far it only let me save once and it will load that but wont let me save anymore says (save failed) everytime i tried....bit agrivated with it now since i had to do the annoying questions a hundred times to get my precious riolu and now i cant save so its pointless to try to play

  • Yes, they DO evolve. You just have to do MORE than just beat the game. Kind of like the Darkness/Time. You have to get Palkia and Defeat Darkrai if I'm correct in D/T. So, there's probably something you have to do.

    I got vulpix as starter.
    the added special missions wich are very nice since now you know the story of the other pokemon in the guild.

  • for those who play no gba dont do that right now play desmume 0.9.4 emu down load it does not lag only when u save which is no big deal but it does save i am on chapter 7 no lag in mazes at all u guys should just play it on that for now untill there is a fix for no gba i tryed every than on no gba it is a no go so untill we know there is a fix just do as i say the other emu i am talking about is not that bad. http://desmume.org/. here is the link to it hope u have fun =)

  • The only thing wrong is that when I saved some how it reset my Pokemon Platinum data. Now I have to start all over. But thats OK I'll have fun playing it again.
    The weird thing is that Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow didn't lose data. Hmm...Awell guess I'll just have to figure this out on my own. Thanks again marktaylor72!

  • Right now I'm headed for the first gym, already. The games isn't that difficult(Platinum). I've beaten it over and over. The only reason I'd get mad over data lose is if I was in the middle of the game when it occurred. But I haven't played in a while.

  • hey np i am just trying to help people play it i dont have lag are i really can't tell it is lag but u go to your fp setting and put it on 9 should fix the lag problem if u are talking about that cause i cant tell if it is lag but only problem i have is when it saves it which means it is slow at that time but i can care less bout that lol as long as it saves so go to config,frame skip and check 9 also i played mario and sonic winter games and it works great so hope what i said helps if u need any than else just let me know =)

  • Dragong13 there is no way it should have earsed your save data in the pokemon game look up the battery folder see if it is there if u are useing no gba also some one could have gotten on your computer and earesed that certin file cause my pokemon game works fine

  • all u do is click download then wehen the games downloaded go to the introduction then click on the link under exreacting if u have a mac download the bottom file if not the top file then right click on the nds game then click open containing folder the find the game right click again then go onto 7-zip then click extract here then it will be a nds game the drag it to your nds games.Is this a gud game

  • Marktaylor72, I checked and it's not there(yes I'm using No$GBA for Platinum). But that doesn't matter any more it's happened before. It always happens when I get a new DS Emulator, like No$Zoomer, Desmume, etc. But I havn't figured out how to fix that, but it's a good thing I now have a way to back up my save data. I wish I had thought of it sooner.

  • To fix save problem. Download Desmume DS Emulator. It worked for me.

  • cooldaddy - rar is a form of compression - like zip. You can unwrap/open it up with winzip or winrar (or regular rar, which I prefer). I think you can also use the 7z extraction program, not sure if it supports all of the compression modes or not. I haven't used it in over a year, I can't remember.

    As for cheats, I suggest you go to gamefaqs. They already have them posted and they work - though I prefer just iq and belly.

  • so the save fail is a form of anti piracy? it doesnt seem that way to me...but maybe it is i dunno normally any anti piracy i see either resets the game freezes it sticks it in a loop or makes it totally crash

    I got charmander and chose mudkip as my partner. (Thinking about the move earthquake when both evolve) Oh yeah,... Your pokemon does evolve... in the VERY END, not after primal diagla, but after you get all the dungions unlocked. Great game though

  • i got a riolu on my first try!You need to get sassy nature as a boy.The downside is that riolu only learns 5 moves through leveling up and only few of them are good so use tm's to help it learn good moves

  • Its boring, I mean it was fun for a bit, but its so repetitive after an hour, the dungeon crawling is so poorly done. You really have to be an IMMENSE FAN BOY to play this for over an hour and a half, and thats the truth.

  • @PropelledFoot- i have to disagree im not a Fanboy or anything of the like and i still get mild enjoyment from playing the game both the story and the gameplay are intersting and its a nice break from the usual tho ill have to admit it does get repetitive and seems a bit limited in what you can do also i really would like for there to be a way to skip scenes or speed through dialog since so far 90% of it is just that....but i guess it just depends on your preference

  • this game is fun at first, but gets very very very reptitve, and almost all of the pokemon rescue games are the same. this one is no different.

    i really liked this game. it works fine but does not save.

    even if i try it in no$gba 2.6a emulator that i tried to use the rom before putting it to my flash card. it still says the same, save failed

    have downloaded and played the recent pokemon mystery dungeon that i have downloaded in romulation it works fine and i have finished both time/darkness.. this is the only time that pokemon mystery dungeon cant save

    all my nintendo ds games are being downloaded in romulation.net and they are all working great.

    this is the only one that gives me problemand also
    gives me headache on how to let it me save on my nintendo dsi

    help is very needed ^^

  • Please, you guys be reasonnable. Choose a good starter, and anyway, you can recruit all of the starters and partners later in the game. I just happened to recruit riolu when I first encountered one, even though it killed my partner and wasted a reviver seed. XD. And you can recruit starters already in their full evolution stage. =D (You can't evolve your starting pokemon until after recruit palkia)

  • Haha...From some comments above I'm getting a few feeling that I'm being demotivated from playing the game...Even though I really LOVE pokemon...
    The longest time I could play my PkmnMyst Time was about 3 hours...then bam no more batteries...!Or my eyes are actually aching...
    But guess what I don't feel like playing it anymore because...The MysteryMail things get too easy and ugh...I could say collecting every single piece of items is quite a dire task...Not feeling like it anymore so I don't feel like playing it.
    I really hope they should start developing an online Pokemon RPG(You have multiple choice of design ex:clothes,hairs,skin tone,size)It'll be really cool...(And the fact that they don't have to make it money costing)

  • It's only good at the ending, the beginning is the same as time and dark >< but rest is fun ^^ VERY recomended

    (Sorry if I sound like a needy little noob or whatever, but it was quite annoying when I unlocked the extra and couldn't access it.)

    EDIT: If its of any importance I use NO$Zoomer because I have the NDSROM Player. I don't want to have to fiddle around with the settings because I'd probably end up loosing all of my save files from other games.

  • After trying to get perfect apples for wigglytuff, skuntank, koffing, and zubat steal the perfect apples and head back to the guild. after chatot says you shouldnt expect to be in the expedition team bidoof sunflora and chimcecho say shh and and stuff..they come near me and the game freezes with all the characters dissapearing some1 help.

    Edit: ALSO THE TOP SCREEN IS ALL BLACK

  • THIS IS AREALLY GREAT GAME EVEN THOUGH ITS LIKE POKEMON DUNGEON TIME/DARKNESS.

    for those who cannot play it because of the load fail you need to patch the game you can do this by getting (well downloading)ds lazy.

  • i been playing this game for quite a while, works fine on my acekard.

    i encountered a problem, when I try to evolve Gible to Gabite at the lake, the game keeps freezing.

    i'm still playing this but it's fucking hard to keep going without my mother fucking sand shark.

    i'll redownload the rom here. i'm just gonna hope it's just a bad cluster or something.

  • it works fine on my R4 original. But i do encounter jams during one part of the game where wigglituff says something and goes its classic YOOOOOOOOM TAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Then everybody cheers and the game dies. and also one part after you *SPOILER ALERT*

  • i think it is (almost) the same game as darkness and time, i didnt like them much so i'm not gonna downlaod this one. blue rescue was the best game of the dungeon games
