I admit that there are good points in this game. It requires some strategy, and when I say 'some' I'm talking about a really, really small amount. Choosing what card to use, then what card to place your bakugan on and finally choosing an ability card to use. Though in most battles, if your bakugan is stronger then your opponents, you can simply just use an ability to deny card bonuses. The mini-games that you play to win the battles are, understandebly, very easy since this game is pointed towards a young audience. I woudln't say that these things I've listed here are bad things, it's just how the game is, and it's a good concept. It's not to hard, nor to difficult to understand.

Now, the downfalls of this game are many. First, the battles. It's got a very nice build up, with both players playing thier ability cards, you playing a fast paced mini-game and sparks flying all over the screens. And then the actual battle between the bakugans come. One bakugan strikes into thin air, and then the other bakugan takes a hit, and it's over. Sure it's a handheld, but i expect more of games in the 'monster' genre. 2 years ago Monster Quest Monsters Joker came and had battles where enemies actually interact with each other, and not just edit it and have it change screens all the time.

In this game there's 4 different places to visit. FOUR. For me, that's not a winning concept. They have completly 3D rendered characters, and they don't even let you move around or explore. Sure, I don't find the whole map screen idea bad, actually I think it's great if it's made right. But they just got lazy and only had you visit 4 differnt places. There's no excuse as to why they couldn't have more places to visit and more characters to battle. This game fails at what Yu-Gi-Oh most Yu-Gi-Oh games pulled of alot better.

There's 6 different attributes of bakugan. Thus, there's 6 different attributes of each and every bakugan, except for the character exclusive ones. The only difference between the different attributes of bakugan is the colour, and that's just a convenient way to reuse the exact same 3D models over and over in different colours. Is it to much to ask for at least SOME changes to the models?

Every attribute has thier own unique special shots, which gives them different special effects on the board. It doesn't do a thing in battle though. At least this gives some kind of induviadualty to the different attributes, but there's still no difference between different bakugan. Sure, different bakugans can get different bonuses from cards, but in the end the only difference is how strong they start out. Thus, having a early game bakugan and upgrading it is useless, since you'll just buy better bakugans later anyway.

I could write much more, but I really don't feel like it so I won't. Just to sum it up I think that the developers rushed to much when they made this. It's just filled with to many coveniant things like reused models and a way to small map. Sure, it might be fun to see your favorite characters from the Bakugan anime battle it out, but it doesn't offer more then that.

im having a problem with story mode of the game on ACEKARD2i every time i start story mode after i play the gate card it jams! anybody have suggestions?

I love this game but once you get close to finishing the game you have to battle this person named marduk and he is very hard and also you can only use your leonidas but the good thing is leonidas evovles!The name of the evovled leonidas is omega leonidas

like yugioh. great for 15 minutes, then so frustrating you want to bang your head against a wall. play it for more than 2 hours, go insane. IT I SO REPETITIVE!@!!!!!

Woah mtblade..Pretty cool review dude! I agree with you, the game is fun and all, but it had so much potential..! Let's hope for a 2nd bakugan game with all those aspects you mentioned worked on~!

if you have trouble with NO$GBA Please download Bittorrent if you already have it then download this torrent for Bitreent but its called No$zoomer its way much better then No$GBA

make sure you have Bittorrent On Automatically since you get around 55 GREEN Seeds with bittorrent after its done through bittorrent Extract it then after that you should have a folder say No$GBA2.6a No$Zoomer Open it up ok then next it will say No$GBA2.6a just click that now to open up and after that is click you should see list you should seen almost at the bottom called something like No$Zoomer Click that Open it up it will may tell you to open one of your DS File from your computer to open up Load up the ds Bakugan then after that if the screen is black after it went to 100% you have to click Option and then at the way bottom some where it will say something called Activision Click that it will go away about least sec to reload and then its all done and now Your Bakugan BattleBrawlers should Work
and I know that NO$GBA doesn't work on Bakugan but just use No$Zoomer that works on Bakugan if you haven't tried yet

This is another way if people have No$GBA and it doesn't work try it that way the way i gave you it makes Perfect and on NO$Zoomer you can also change your Mouse to a Pen Mark like your NDS

Its a wanabe yugioh, but yugioh is better :p.
