    While she sleeps, the lazy but big-dreamer titular protagonist Annie Eilenberg is sent to the resort spot Sera Island by her alchemist grandfather along with the spirit Pepe. There is she is to train in the ways of alchemy and contribute to the development of the island resort. While reluctant at first, Annie soon learns that the person who most contributes to Sera Island's development will marry a prince and live a good, rich life, something of which she has dreamed of.

    The Chibi-style is pretty fun(But that's me).. But i have to say combat ain't that awesome. Turn Based.. Simple 3v3 (Or less) fights.
    It's like Atelier Iris.. but in your pocket.

  • Not a girl's game. Part of the Atelier series, from which the Atelier Iris, Ar Tonelico and Mana Khemia series are spin-offs. In general the series has dating sim and rpg elements, but in all but the Ar Tonelico series, these take the backseat to the Alchemy system. This game seems to be more simplified though, with a harvest moon-esque way of time measurement.

    Yep. Pure awesomeness. Not even remotely as stupid as the English version. I'm so glad my Japanophilia was never as deep running as this. Thank goodness for Baldur's Gate to pull me from the depths of pocky, random kanji, ^_^'s, and willful asininity.

    Well, I liked Mana Khemia so I might as well give it a shot. Rune Factory 2 keeps freezing on me so maybe this will tide me over until I manage to sort out the problem.

  • Hey, because of this one video of a scene from a game that is just as painfully horrible in english and japanese, I have successfully proven that everyone else is a weeaboo!

    rebuttal: sailor moon, slayers, bleach, naruto, one piece, star ocean, xenosaga, cowboy bebop.

    I don't really like anime very much to be honest, some of it's cool but they always jam 'comedy' in there and japanese comedy seems to consist of loud women smacking perverts and nosebleeds or whatever, but there is no denying that english dubs/cuts suck.

    I don't believe so. I still haven't given it a go, but I'm sure you just play as 'Annie.'

    Also, isn't it wee soon to be expecting AR codes. The game just came out right? Do AR codes usually get posted within a couple days of release? Especially since this isn't a high profile series like Pokemon.

  • It's a pretty good game... Though it gets repetative and kinda slow since you get missions at set times, usually 120 days between every mission... But it only takes like 10 days to complete them! :C

  • It gets pretty slow at the end, and you'll have to travel a lot between your new facilities and your workshop.
    I actually really liked this game (even though I got second in the end... -cries-). I finished this in about 9 hours. The graphics were cute, the side conversations were cute, and I cannot even begin to gush over the Japanese, un-dubbed voices. But this is only for those who are interested in those Japanese anime-like games.

    I wish the actual character image on the screen would change his/her outfit according to the outfit equipped. There were some really cute dresses!

    I'm not sure how "otome" this game is yet, though there certainly seemed to be potential romances. Replay value is moderate if you're curious enough and patient enough.

    **Tip: Buy the books from the library! They often contain important ingredients that you'll need for competition missions!

  • After seeing this compared to Harvest Moon, I was a little hesitant. While I do give HM credit, it's just not my kind of game. Anyway, I loved this. The graphics are cute, the voices naturally Japanese and cute (although high-pitched, so some might find it annoying), and the gameplay is addicting. It does let you figure out what to do after you're finished with the first two missions, so it's not overkill on the tutorial. You have your choice of party members right off the bat, and I'm assuming you can pursue the male ones.

    Anyway, don't compare this too much to Harvest Moon. It's definitely capable of standing out on its own.

  • The game is pretty similar to Mana Khemia (PS2). You have to complete assignments, make friends, etc...the only thing I hate is that each time you go back to your workshop, there will be "sometimes" boring events...other than that, it's a good game

  • Amazing game! Didn't get the good ending first time through but you keep your money and items on new game plus so I'm going at it again. Might make a walk through very soon.

    This game got me back to loving video games. From the moment I started I couldn't put it down. I was finally obsessed again! There is so much to do and the clock is continuously closing in but you never feel rushed. A true breath of fresh air!

    @al_10: Most stuff that's hard to get can be gathered from mascots (ask them a few times till they have a rare item on their queue. ie: Dragon fang, Millennium balm, Ancient statue...). Also, many are rare drops from dragons in the cave. Use a 'Prize Blitz' to turn them into an item at low heath.

  • to find other gathering place you must train so far up till now i train till lv26 annie and unlocked ice forest,fruity forest,lone island(cannot enter till you bulit a aquarine or hotel),crater,cave and mascot there will be 5 of them one is in ice forest,fruity forest,lone island,quarry and basin

  • Brilliant game!! Works perfectly on my R4 :)
    Graphics are old school rpg, the gameplay reminded me a bit of lost in blue (gathering items, making them one)
    Good game, will keep me busy for a wee while :)

    Although it's not complete, all the major things are there. Just minor details missing.

    I just beat this game 4 times.. New Game lets you hold on to most items, and money, so after beating it once, it is a lot easier. Ahhh.. I can't believe my whole weekend was dedicated to this game! I guess I wanted to have fun after all the midterms.. haha
