  • honestly this game rly sucks, its not a real battlefront game. You cant enter/ exit vehicles. The shooting is alright, but gets boring fast and doesn't look too good. The space ship looks like a super nintendo game and you can only go 2 directions(left and right) save your time and forget this one..

  • Pretty cool game I think. With the possible exception of next weeks'CoD Modern Warfare Mobilized I think this is N-Spaces best effort to date.

  • YESS ive been waiting for ages for this to come out. I was a Huge Fan Of battlefront 2 for ps2 hope this will be as good (probibly not as good)

  • Why didn't they make the flying levels the same as the full 3D ones in Revenge Of The Sith (and that game came out years ago on the DS)? It is ridiculous that you can't fly up or down.

    Also, they easily could of made the ground levels from the 3rd person perspective. I've just spent the last hour playing COP The Recruit in full 3D - it clearly can be done.

    Disappointing unfortunately.

  • not as good as i thought it would be. space battles are right and left only, and the ground battle is a little awkward, with the characters being a bit too small to see any sort of detail.

    overall i'd give the game 8 out of 10....but 1 point extra is because it's a star wars game.

  • i have been waiting a long time for this! hopefully the game doesnt betray my execitement. I'll give a slight overview of the game after I play it :D

  • im honestly dissapointed in the game...
    1) You can only turn left or right in the space game... the ds is obviously capable of playing an full aircraft fighter gameplay (as seen in Star Fox and Revenge of the Sith),
    2) No Wi-fi
    3) Linear levels in campaign
    4) Generic and not exciting combat
    5) Computers say *Name Here* has killed Bot1 or Bot3 has killed Bot5... Lame... they couldn't bother to give names to the bots?
    6) Feels like a rush job

    You might squeeze some fun out of this, but I feel heavily dissapointed after waiting so long for this game.

  • - basically the land combat is basically involving the game auto targetting enemies for you and then spamming the shoot button and special ability button
    - it has lightsaber combat, but it doesn't do it well
    - the gameplay can be traced back to hitting an attack button like lego starwars and it auto targets for you, but the autotargeting system in battlefront feels clunky occasionally.

  • This game really disappointed me. The ground combat doesn't feel at all battlefrontish. You get a top view of your character and have a ton of health, so it's not really all that challenging. space battles only allow movement in two directions, no 3D, and the graphics are okay, but with your view being so limited, you can't see detail very well. In my opinion, this game isn't worthy of being in the battlefront series.

  • I am so disappointed. This game dosen't even deserve the title of battlefront. Four player? Terrible. Campaign is okay, but the graphics are terrible, and as mentioned in previous posts, in space you can only move left to right. LOTR Conquest is much better than this. If they had made even a clone of that with star wars, I would have been happy. But nooooo. They have to make a half-baked joke of a game. DS can do so much better than this, but developers throw out crappy game after crappy game. There are some diamonds in the rough, such as Suikoden Tierkreis and the upcoming Infinite Space (I played it in Japanese), but this isn't one of them.

    I completely agreed with you. I loved LOTR Conquest, and even if LucasArts simply took that game and rehashed it as star wars, I'll probably still love it. However the only thing this game has similar to the other is the topdown overview :/

  • this is a good game, but perhaps not as a battlefront. They could easily have made it over the shoulder or first person, but hey they might have been half asleep, or drunk, or stoned, or just plain half-assed when they decided to make battlefront on ds like this. I personally like the game, but is a little disappointing. If it didn't have 'battlefront' in the game title it probably wouldn't have been so disappointing.

  • Easiest way to complete it is to use the Heavy Soldier and the rail gun, with turrents being taken out with the secondary weapons. more like a version of the 2 Clone Wars games than a battlefront one :(

  • No bad, could have been better. I expected more from the Battlefront series. It does tie in some story lines in the Star Wars Universe, like The force Unleashed with A NEW HOPE well. You get to shoot down Boba Fet's Slave One too! Sweet. I'm not sure if you get to interact with Boba any more throughout the game, because I was only able to play half way through the second ACT. I'll give it this, It was much more fun then THE FORCE UNLEASHED, and had much better player control. If your a Star Wars fan, like I am, you'll enjoy it. For star wars fans 8.5 ot of 10, for everyone else it's more like a 7 ot of 10. Worked great with no issues on my R4.

    As a huge Star Wars fan, and also a gfan of the Battlefront 2 on the PS2, i expected more of Battlefront: Elite squadron.
    I expected it to be a bit more like battlefront.
    Space fights like in the revenge of the sith game, bots running around helping and shooting you...
    But no, instead, space is flat in this game, you only have a few bots with you in the campaign (sometimes)...
    I am really disappointed... :(

  • If you really want a new battlefront, you can play this if you REALLY wanna play a new one, I mean playing a bad game dosn't hurt you, but otherwise, I'd get SW:BF on the PSP or wait till Battlefront III Comes out on the consoles.

  • this game is awesome. i was addicted in the first 5 minutes. The graphics are alright for a nds game. But the bad things are that you dont look third person instead birds eye view, you cant be on the bad side and you cannot be a jedi. other than that it totally rocks

  • Excellent! This is sooooooo awesome! I've only played for like 10 minutes, but this is the first BF game that doesn't crash randomly on my system/pc. The game is INSANE!!!!!!! Any Star Wars or vehicular combat (:)) game lover must play this.

  • I love this game even though the storyline is short (i completed it in 5 hours). And luigipalace there is mace windu and yoda in hero mode. Maybe it is because you never complete the game. I like using the lightsaber which you will get in the middle of the game. I rate this 9.5/10.

  • isnt the best of games when you compare to the other battlefront games or other 3D games or games of this genre, but as an individual game is is surprissingly good, some bad things are the auto targeting and the fact its not first person and when you fly you can only turn left or right, not up or down, but this game is pretty fun with friends and family members. personally i give this an 8/10 in my oppinion, but not everyone has this same oppinion and would most likely give it a 6/10 or something similar, but i say if you get the cnahe to download and play you might as well, i mean, its free right? and there arent very many fun multiplayer games on ds out there that other people usually have or want, so if you want a fun, non overcomplicated, easy game to play, then this is a pretty good one for you.

  • I really didnt enjoy this game!
    I found it too easy, and the space battles weren't very good.

    Bring back the old style of battlefront, with numerous spawns and the ability to fight a war, rather than that ability to fight as good-guy X and bad guy X2
