this game reminds me of that movie with jackie chan. im gonna try it out
Before people ask what type of game is this - here from ign:
"Around the World in 80 Days is a puzzle game adaptation of the popular adventure novel of the same name by Jules Verne. Players get the chance to travel back in time to the late 19th century and enjoy spectacular adventures on land, sea and air together with the English daredevil Phileas Fogg and his loyal French servant Passepourtout. With only 80 days to circumnavigate the globe the stakes are high –the journey must be completed on time to win the fantastic 20,000 pounds wager."
So there you have it - it's a puzzle game..yay!
so do you have to play as jackie chan?
And no, u don't rlly play as jackie chan, u play as an asian guy faking his name as Passepourtout, who is played as jackie chan in the move of Around The World in 80 Days
And how come this wasn't released earlier? The movie came out in 2004, and they already made a Gameboy version the same yr....
enjoyed this game on the PC - good fun.
This isn't based on the horrible, horrible movie. It's based on the novel written by Jules Verne
Seeing another PC port to the DS is fantastic, and I hope its a growing trend. I thrive on point and clicks, and seeing Broken Sword this year as well was just amazing. Even though I have ScummVmDs, I really hope they adapt some Lucasarts Games, including Sam and Max, the Monkey Island series, downgrade some of their other classics, Or, hell, make some new amazing titles!
Those of you who have turned this into a Phantasy Star 0 Discussion Board are idiots. This is clearly for Around the World in 80 Days; not PS0. So, please, stop.
I think this sounds like a good game. Puzzle games can be very fun if done correctly. I will look into this.
This game has no mode for left hand playing, although it's played vertically. crap!
this game is like bejewled
No left-Handy? Count me out, good sirs.
Just another match -3 puzzler. No better or worse than 7 Wonders, Fishdom, Zookeeper etc. Though since it is played holding the DS vertically it might have an idea to have a left handed option. Not a dealbreaker by any means but still, it would have been nice. P.S. Can't wait for all the Phantasy Star posts to be deleted - as we say in OZ - what has that got to do with the price of eggs?
For the people don't know what this game is about:

It is a kind of port I think and when it is GREAT GAME
and little space 16 mb :)
i think the game is good
Cleaned up and something like 15 warnings handed out, I hope to see proper game comments from now on.
it is a "zoo keeper" like game.
i prefer zoo keeper
i give this game 6/10 its not very bad
has anyone seen the TV show with the same name for Children In Need? It's good.
lefties unite! but really guys, I can play this sideways on, its so easy - and fast - at least on No$! so the vertical orientation just is not an issue here - though in other games its a right *
if you are left handed you must push in the options menu on the doll at the top of the screen on the left side than the game plays for left people.
Ho ho even with your post quinten05 it took a while to locate the options screen - but hey thanks :-) even better and a quick easy game - nice 1
I was excited when I first saw the name of this game, since so many great games could be based on this IP.
But then I thought, well, the book's probably public domain, so the license was free. Thus it's either yet another Bejeweled clone or yet another Hidden Objects game. In the latter case at least it might have been worth it because the pictures would be new.
But it's a Bejeweled clone.
... but honestly, do we really need another identical game? ... if you don't already have 7 Wonders or any of the other Bejeweled clones, you may want to pick this one up, but if you have one game like that you pretty much have them all.
quinten05: Thanks a lot!! You made my day and I redownloaded the game! :)
Hey guys, that's really important: There is a left hand mode!
Jules Verne did he do the tv show with that dog
jules verne was a french author a long time ago. A long time before TV, he died in 1905
This game really could've been better off as something that isn't a puzzle game.
ok this is a great lil game, but does anyone no how to use the weapons to get past level 58?
how do you use the hammer in the game?
dont know but this game is just another terrible puzzle gmae
