The novel this game is based on is pretty famous and the screenshots from http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/image/959208.html looks pretty decent. Gotta try this since I've never read the novel. :D

The European version got pretty bad comments, IIRC.

Picture a Professor Layton game, but with the puzzles replaced with word problems straight out of Algebra I ...

Work alongside the famous detective Hercule Poirot <- Funny it says "famous" and I never heard of that guy >_>...now about the game, its a good good at first but wears out quite quickly, I prefer Prof. Layton over this anytime.
I'm posting AFTER trying out this game

Poirot is famous actually, not as much as Holmes perhaps, but he's gotten his shares of movies and games made after his adventures.
So far in, the game doesn't deviate too much from the novel. The puzzles requires some thinking, not exactly Layton like, not really for kids. There are no "scribble pages" for you to write, so for math/algebraic puzzles, you'll need to either solve it in the head, or provide your own pen and paper.
At any rate, I'm sure detective game fans can enjoy this game, even more if they are Poirot fans. The conversations are entertaining, Poirot, Hastings, Japp, all with their own antics we all love. Too bad they aren't voice acted.

...poirot...
I think I saw it being aired about 2 days ago on PBS, or channel 13.

i had the Euro version that i eventually deleted-- sorry, i was definitely NOT a math person and i'm still not...last thing i need is a GAME that makes me feel as dumb as my algebra II class. =0P

Looks mathematical. I suck at algebra, so I'm gonna have no chance in finishing this game.
