Final Fantasy VIII tries to take a different approach to the Final Fantasy series; one that hasn't been taken very well by the community. One of the biggest changes to the series is the magic system. Obtaining magic requires you to "Draw" it from an enemy. This is incredibly annoying and troublesome, but it does add a bit of strategy to the game. Also, Final Fantasy VIII focuses a lot on romance, which is something the newer Final Fantasy games have started doing. The storyline is great. Too bad the game play is severely lacking.

This game is a very fun and challenging game. I always have liked the Final Fantasy series. This copy how ever tends to drag sounds out. May just be the emulator, but all the same it was very bad at the end of the SeeD exam. Overall though I would say itâ��s a fairly nice game.

The SeeD exam results don't have a big impact on your overall gameplay, I recommended to level up as little as possible, as the monsters level along with you but get stronger than you do. You can get magic and fuse it to your stats to get extra attack, defence, magic, healthpoints and such to still be able to beat the bosses but not have to level too much.

Overall I think the game is good, I have it legit on PC and it's a very good game in my opinion.

Possibly the Best RPG ever made in my opinion. Story line - A++ Grafix- A++
this iso however does have a bug where you cant see the battle menu when in combat. To Prevent this i recomend downloading the newest video plugins ( i recomend p.e.op.s Softdriver 1.18 )

I remember my brother playing it on a Windows '98 PC (UGH!), and now I'm here to get it for a PSX emulator. I love the music; especially the Laguna theme.

This game stands besides FFVII as the 2 best final fantasys. Problem is, after 8, it stedily went downhill. Don't believe me? Play FFXII, you'll see.

Next to Final Fantasy VII, this is the last great rpg to come from Square. Graphically it is superior to VII, but VII has the better story. While I can relate to Squall more than Cloud, lonely and introverted, I loved all of the characters in VII like I knew them all. I love this game because of the subtle love story between Squall and Rinoa. It's quite sad in it's scope really. If you want to experience a true classic, then get this one.........after you get VII. ;)

This game introduced me into RPGs. So far I can't seem to forget it. Great music. Squall and Seifer are my favorite icons. FF9 can jump off a cliff.
