For those who don't know this was the starter for one of the best games known to this day. This is the original metal gear solid and metal gear solid III snake eater is the remake of this game. But it left out some of the good part, for those of u who r true fans of the metal gear genre. u should start off with this one. for a retro game it rocked out the best during its time. 5/5.
MGS3 wasn't a remake of this, fool. MGS3 was before all of the games.
exactly... MG1 tells the story, how Snake encountered Big Boss in battle for the first time... in MGS3 you play AS BIG BOSS himself, before he even got the title of BIG BOSS...

Who gives a crap? Metal Gear, in my opinion was far better and harder than any other Metal Gear game that came after. Every single game after this one is just trying and failing to live up to the Metal Gear name.

i think he meant tht metal gear solid 3 SUBSISTENCE released a remake of the MSX version of the orignal metal gear and metal gear 2. this game was changed from the orginal metal gear, it doesnt even feature metal gear in the game.
