I like it so far! I'm kinda stuck right now...but still :P
why isn't there a rayman 3 ds that would be great rayman ds is great deffinetly worth to download
The first game has plenty of "remakes" as you'd call it. More like simultaneous releases on several systems. The original was on DOS, PS1, Saturn, and Jaguar. Eventually it was remade for GBC and ported in its entirety to GBA (some cutbacks in graphics and sound). Rayman 2 received much the same treatment.
Its a pretty good remake for the DS, but I have to wonder why so many Rayman 2 remakes. There really needs to be more remakes of the first game. I'd love to play a remake of the very first game instead of another Rabbid or Rayman 2 remake. I don't have a problem with them, just wish they'd pay tribute to the first one again.
Is Remake for GBA Version But is the version is 3D
baffle boy i second u on that
i like rayman more when he is 2-d...
I beat this a while back when I first got my ds, thinking back, I remember using the ds thumb pad thing (thats not even included with DS anymore) to move with the touchscreen, because even though it was annoying, using the D-Pad was even worse. I remember enjoying the game, but not really enough to ever play it again. I was a huge fan of rayman 2 for N64 as a child. 6.5/10 worth a download, not a purchase.
My thoughts on this game... Rayman 2 was an excellent game, but at this stage, I'm very disappointed. It was ported to DS, and they changed the loading screens, added the HUD to the touch screen, and added a (very left-aligned, and annoyingly aligned, although you CAN move it) touch-screen movement feature (which is quite laggy and horrible). Unfortunately, because this was a port of the PC version, we got the terrible voices (the Playstation version had actual English voices, not just English subs - I'm not sure of other versions like the Dreamcast, though), and the screen size difference, as well as other factors really hinders the graphics severely. In terms of how well it's been ported, well, they did an okay job. About 75\% compared to the original, but I really had hoped for an entirely new game, that took place between Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 (like Rayman Revolution, which I still haven't actually played). On the whole, at least if we had got the English voices, it wouldn't have been as bad and I would have kept it, because I've only ever played the PS version at a friend's place, but had to put up with the stupid voices on my PC. Unfortunately, the graphics are very hindered, the game is a quite choppy, and overall, I'd much rather play it on a TV screen or PC screen - that is, on any system that is not handheld.
This is a laggy port of Rayman 2 on N64 and other consoles. It's still a good game, but avoid it if you have Rayman 2 on another system. The control is laggy in responce time and the framerate is choppy. Plus the graphics are really blocky thanks to lack of a texture filter on DS. They could have redone the graphics a bit though to help that. It's a lazy port, but still decent.
Another Rayman remake...This one's okay, albeit similar to the GBA version...
