the real SMB2 was released before wii virtual console, it was on super mario all stars on snes with the name 'the lost levels'
it wasn't because of copyrights, they just thought that the japanese mario 2 was too hard for westerners.
anyway, this is still an awesome game, that most people would never have heard of if it wasn't tuned into a mario game!

The real mario 2 was released stateside when Nintendo released The Lost Levels. That is the jap version of SMB2. DokiDoki was quickly converted into mario 2 in America because of copyrights.
Ah yes, DokiDoki Panic lol. Never played it, but was disappointed to see that the true SMB2 was never released State-wise until the "Wii Era" via VC lol. This game is fun, however, I remember when I got it lol. Worth the download.
This is a remake of a classic game that was originally out on the Nes. Like nostaliga? Try out this game on the 32 bit handheld! I'm sure you'll like it. The music is restructured and so are the levels. Try it out!
