it's a great game.....
but i did't finished yet 4 years ago,stuck with the last boss (too low level)
i played for 15hours without waltrough and miss some char
if you like it and finished it,i recomended "tales of destiny II (tales of eternia)" for your next game
had same gameplay and same great storyline

i have a psp version of this i also had the Ps1 version of it but that one broke
it game is pretty Unique when it comes to its battle system and skill system
and also there are alot of ways that you can manipulate the story but the ending will be the same if you need help or get stuck on a part i can totally help you i played this game over 10000000000000000000000000 times since it first came out
it has a good story line to
if you played the first Installment of the Game.... Claude (one of the main characters of the game) is Ronyx's son, and no Ronyx did not marry Ilia, Claude is the son of Ronyx first wife.

I love this game, and I don't say that about many games short of MGS1.
I really want to download but don't have the points just yet. I lost my originals second disc and have been playing through the first one repeatedly heh. Can't wait to download and play this so I can finish the story for the first time in years.

Wonderful game, one of my all time favorites. The remake is pretty good as well. Also don't be afraid to give the anime Star Ocean EX a try, it kinda sorta follows the story of this game, but there are noticeable and interesting differences.
There is one similar on the PSP...Great game...Love the series
